Post by: Armageddon on October 04, 2006, 09:59:17 AM

I heard Dorian say that for the 1st time on PBW and it sort of caught up from there and everyone started using that fraise to talk about good genetics

It was probably used less often before Dorian because Dorian brought the era of mass to bodybuilding.  After Dorian's reign seeing small joints and round muscle bellies together on a bodybuilder has become less common.

Don't know about "Small joints and round muscle bellies", but you definitely are the one who invented the word 'fraise'. And also, even though it's become an unfortunate truth / reality nowadays, it's 'round muscle bellies', not 'round belly muscles', which is actually a gut. Hope this helps.

I first heard the phrase in 1977 by Danny Padilla referring to Sergio Oliva.

Actually Armageddon, I think you mean "Small joints can still give you the munchies and create round bellies."

But I wouldn't know, I never inhaled...

That phrase is usually reserved for Flex Wheeler.  That's the only time I heard it used.

Yeah, Mike Christian used it, while describing Flex in Flex's first video, circa 1993.
