Title: Quick question???

Has anyone ever had their house moved?  I mean the house itself, the structure.  You see I built a house on some property that a developer wants to buy but he is going to remove the house, well it is mine and I want it so I was thinking of buying a new piece of property and moving the house to it.  Any info on this topic would be great.  Thanks in advance.

It is fairly common to move houses.
The cost really depends on the size of the house and distance of the move. Local house movers will be able to give you a real accurate quote. But it is relatively inexpensive. You will need anew foundation design nd utilites brought into your house. Hire a contractor for that.

There will be some settlement issues when the house is placed on your new foundation. You might also experience some broken windows depending on how it moved. Let the contractor deal with these problems as well.

i moved a bird house from one branch to the next because it was too sunny
