Title: Why are there no Google Ads on this site?

I am a webdeveloper and I know for a fact how much you can make from running google ads on your website.  How come GetBig doesn't have any googleads on the pages like other forums. It would be a great way to support the site.

One of the appeals to this site is the fact that I don't have to stare at lots of ads.  That said, I believe this site could generate a hundred or two a month if they did do google ads and that could deter the cost of hosting the site.

Google ads do ad more bandwith to your server though because everytime a page opens with google ads on it a google robot comes to your site.  This can tie up your servers resources
