Title: Jay and emotion, ever caught in the same room?
Post by: Samourai Pizzacat on October 06, 2006, 02:02:32 AM
What's up with Jay Cutler? He finally get's his trophy and he looks sedated, the same 'calmness' (or dullness) that seems to permeate his total being.
Could it be his drive and rigid lifestyle have driven out all such things as joy and spontanuity? I think he needs to get out for some time, eat some real nice food, have fun, and just forget about BB for a while.... Bamboocha....

Jay is always calm and collected.. Even at his first Arnold victory, he didn't go jumping around or drop on his knees and try to make a hole on the floor like Ronnie

I know some calm and collected people but Jay's reached new heights, Jay just does not look happy. I hope he is though.....

maybe because he is a man that doesn't act like an 8 year old no matter the situation...Jay would have made a much better cop then Ronnie...The diff/between the two would be Jay would be a dectective and Ronnie would be directing traffic...

I see detectives as actively taking charge and above all thinking outside the box, neither qualities I see in Jay. I don't expect Jay to be a drama queen like Tamali or a mini-me badass like Quay or DH. I'm just wondering whether I see a happy man on that stage or someone that has become a drone because of his own routines and obsession with BB (taking your 'sport' this far is an obsession).

Everyone's personality is different, but I have to agree that I feel he just doesn't have a lot of charisma.  Very nice guy, but his stage presence is just bland in my opinion.

This thread title is hilarious!!!

Same in person; at a guest posing, he's very professional and friendly, but on the mike, he's a little flat...

Thanks!

The topling of Big Ron was just the occasion for him to show some color, c'mon Jay, live a little! It felt as if I was happier for him than he was....

I'll let it rest now, it was just an observation  8)

If you look into Jay's eyes, you can clearly see the back of his head.

I bet it just took him an hour or two to understand he's won.

Jay seems to have as much personality as a white sheet of paper.

Nevertheless, Congratulations Jay!!!

if I was 33 and had never been single since I was 16 everything would seem bland

Everyone is wired different.  I'm sure Jay is very happy, when I have seen at guest poseings he seems to be light hearted and having a reasonably good time.  Everyone is different on how they display their emotions.  Is he the most charismatic guy? probally not, but no big deal.

JAY IS PERFECTLY FINE, AND I DONT THINK HE NEEDS ANYBODY TO VALIDATE NOR APPROVE HIS SELF MOTIVATION, DRIVE, OR CHARACTER, HE'S JUST, FINE

True, Cutler may not have the most exicting personality, but not only did he take his win (which he has worked for so hard after years of disappointment) with class and dignity, but also props to the guy in the way he acknowledged and raised Ronnie's hand just after the announcement.

I can't remember Ron being as gracious in victory.

The whole collapsing to the floor when you win 8x in a row is overdone.  Jay took the victory like you should, with some dignity.  And chill out on all the praising God and this is what "God's" plan is for me.  What a joke.

I was told by a few reliable sources that Jay did a lot of ecstacy in his youth, which would explain his seemingly total lack of emotion.

well I've seen a lot of athletes still celebrate after a grueling match, roadcyclists for example.

I just hope he's satisfied, and that while he's 'silent' on the outside he's cheering on the inside.

BtW if anyone can link me a vid or a photo with Jay laughing out loud, please do, shock me ;)

Croatch - Are you implying that it's not "God's plan" to take massive amounts of drugs in order to achieve an unnatural physique?

Not only have you rocked the very foundation of my faith, you've also made me question my subscription to Flex.  ;)

I didn't realize people even bought Flex, let alone still subscribed to it. How are the WWE superstars training articles?

Yeah, the King got too cocky with the Moses stuff and all.. but as he always said, he got several low placings over the year and didn't complain.

Guess what! He's scoring seconds and still aint complainin'

Next time he'll be more gracious when he wins again.
