Title: O.D. WILSON
Post by: BEAST 8692 on October 25, 2006, 09:01:36 AM
wilson was the most massive man i ever saw. he dwarfed EVERYONE.

i remember when i was a kid watching him compete in a strongman comp and he was being interviewed between events, he said:

"all you kids out there should grow up to become strong men."

i didn't know about being a strong man, but i sure as shit wanted to be wilson.

i loved the fact that he was as strong as he looked. surely he must have been the most massive muscular man alive at that point (you strong man nuts out there might be able to verify this one way or the other. pictures would be good).

can't say i was surprised when he died of a heart attack though. sad day for strength athletes.

doesn't seem to be much info on this amazing athlete which is a pity because a beast like o.d. should be honoured like the champion he was.

RIP O.D. WILSON.

Man I was just thinking about that dude, I remeber OD also - he was big as hell. I couldn't find anything on his best lifts - but according to this site http://strongestman.billhenderson.org/bios/od.html (http://strongestman.billhenderson.org/bios/od.html) he was only 37 when he died (while being interviewed) and his first name was accually just OD.

exactly and, by the looks of things, there doesn't seem to be a lot of knowledge on him here either.

it's a pity because, for pure strength, the man was probably one of the strongest humans of all time.

i think his official bests were 1000 pound squat, around 895 deadlift and 595 or so bench, brutally strong and monstrously huge man.

this is where i think o.d excelled. he was great at events that required pure strength and not stamina, skill, speed etc ie some wsm events.

o.d is probably still, despite anabolic advancements post mortem, the most massively muscular human being i've ever seen.
