FRIENDS was a funny show, and holds up surprisingly well in reruns, which is the sign of a well written show.
IMO Sienfeld was better, but that's just personal preference. All art is subjective.

"Friends" is for queers and steers - I probably wouldn't have seen a single episode to this day if it hadn't been for my wife watching it. Sometimes it can be funny but there is so much more better things out there than Friends.
