The Secret is a motivational video. It shows you the difference that a positive attitude can make in changing your life, as opposed to wasting effort simply hating your current situation.
The world really can be a self-fulfilling prophecy. We believe it is a certain way, we act as though it is a certain way, and to us, it BECOMES a certain way. The idea is to manipulate that “world” into something positive.

I believe it's common sense as well, but it depends on your beliefs.
I’m not a devotee of things like metaphysics and other “pseudo-sciences.” If you are, you’ll like the video.
And if you’re not, you’ll still like the video because they feature a variety of people who claim the same results for a variety of reasons.
Example:
Metaphysics suggests we give off energy waves. And if we think positive and emit positive energy, then the world will detect those energy waves and change into a positive place for us and give us good things.
“THE WORLD WILL GIVE US GOOD THINGS.”
Psychiatry suggests that if we maintain a positive attitude about life, the world will seem like a better place to us and we’ll be happier in it.
“WE WILL TAKE NOTICE OF AND APPRECIATE THE GOOD THINGS THAT WE GET AND HAVE.”
To me, it's common sense put into perspective.
However you need to think of it, just learn to find some happiness so that YOUR world becomes a better one. It does beat being miserable all the time.
I just wanted to defend Judi. She's one of the people who convinced me to watch the vid, and I'm glad I did because I was in a bit of a slump and it reminded me to stop being a whiny little pr**k all the time - things are not ALL bad.

Funny, the only thing I watch with relatives on Christmas is "A Christmas Story", like 5 times in a 24 hour span.
