Other than the obvious screwing of Culter in 2001, who else was the worst to get shafted?
I would say Shawn Ray in the 1998 Mr. O
(second place, Markus at the Santa Susana, losing to Paco).

That was more of a "routine screwing".
In every contest Kamali's ever been in the two or three guys who place immediately lower than him were royally screwed. And KK has the nerve to bitch about the judging. ::)

No, you're a member at IronAge. Someone there has said that has happened to them numerous times while writing an article. Turned it in, and certain parts were changed for no particular reason, and not the same article the person turned in.

Dorian was a bigger version of what he's been. I'm not a fan in the sense that his physique is something I aspire to attain. Dorian is in his own class and in his own little world. For that reason, there's nobody they can compare like-to-like with Dorian. They can only bring forward a different package.

I'm trying to go to bat for Shawn. I'm just saying that it's not like the pages for a Flex article are chipped in stone like Moses' tablets. It's very easy to re-write something, or just change a word or two here and there.
It's a possibility, and maybe Shawn could (has?) come on here to clarify. Or, he may very well have said it and that was his feelings that night, and after reviewing photos changed his mind. Flex did this in 99, after losing to Coleman. Flex did the "shun" where he turned his back to the crowd because he really felt that he should have placed ahead of Ronnie that night. For the next issue or two of FLEX the magazine, Flex (the bber) said he was pissed. Then in the next issue, Flex (again, the BBer) said he reviewed the photos and felt that Ronnie did deserve the win.

secondly, do you really think Shawn would have been stupid enough to trash Joe Weiders' champion and all the judges?
he had a career to think about you know.
You ask shawn what he really thinks now that he doesn't have to worry about fallout with Uncle Joe and I promise you the answer will be different.
If ND had a brain he could have figured this out...

The plain truth is that I beat Ronnie last year [2000] and Jay Cutler beat Ronnie this year. You should not win the Mr. Olympia if your stomach is hanging out -- period. Last year, I patted Ronnie's stomach during the posedown to draw attention to the fact that he was bloated. That tactic obviously didn't work, and Ronnie beat me in the posedown to successfully defend his title for a third straight Mr. O triumph.
So now the show rolls around and Jay Cutler beats Ronnie in both prejudging rounds: symmetry and muscularity. Ronnie was spilling over with too much water during the muscularity round, and Cutler took it to him in many of the poses that Coleman usually dominates.
How can Cutler lose this contest if he wins in both symmetry and muscularity? How can Ronnie retain his title if his midsection is bloated and distended? Why should the fans get behind a champion who can't present an aesthetic image of what bodybuilding is supposed to be all about?
I'm talking about classical proportions, perfect symmetry and ideal conditioning. Based on that ideal, I should have won the Sandow in 2000, and Cutler should have taken it in 2001.
The fans deserve better than what they are getting. I'm already working hard to ensure that, in 2002, a true peoples' champ can strip the title away from Ronnie Coleman.

I love when Shawn says he's happy to be second , its a conspricy and when Kev says otherwise he's being a sore loser lol hypocritical? Hulkster this is why your opinion can't be valued its not objective or honest or even that well thought out.

Hulkster, if you HAD to pick which Flex Wheeler looked better, between '98 or '99 Olympia, which condition would you choose? By the way, none of this "Ronnie this" and "Ronnie that", just touch base on Flex. ;D

This is true. Shawn trashed many a judge in his time, on video, magazines, and probably in person to their faces. The latter I cannot vouch for. I just need three examples of everything.... :D
