My opinion is that his supplements are probably the same quality as all the others. They may be better in terms of taste and nice packaging though. The ads are pretty good too. Providing the quality and price are no worse, that's fine by me.
So you are saying it's the same with this product as with 99% of all product on shelf to date... it will do zero for you?

You've been asked by the consumer for details. Deliver! If you make your case, complete with competitor comparisons and before/afters, your product offering will gain a foothold in the getbig prospect as #1 in whatever niche you're trying to occupy.
If you fail, or worse yet, ignore the question, you will find yourself in a subverse category known as "hiding from the tough questions about his product". Seeing as the whole industry reads this board and it'll have about 3000 views by tomorrow night, you don't want to be seen by half the ironman patrons as Jorge Betten "his ass will end up in" Court.
So take the opportunity! Carpe something. Does your product work? Better than who, and why?

I'm sure they due but they probably outsource it. We have our own labs so we do everthing in house and I help formulate everything.

Well, man, I am from Brazil and actually work for the bodybuilding community we have here, our 'little industry'!! I write for the best mag in the country, which happens to be the official voice for our NABBA affiliate. I have a steady column that speaks about the pros of the IFBB, though.
So I know the best stores here in Sao Paulo, the biggest city in the whole Latin America and it resembles New York city quite a bit in terms of shear size and is the most developed city in Brazil, with the biggest chunk of income taxes of the country.
I'm saying all of this just to illustrate that I don't live in the country side, so to speak. What I am trying to tell is that I HAVE NEVER LAID EYES ON A SINGLE BETANCOURT PRODUCT on the shelves of our supplement stores, AND WE HAVE A LOT OF THEM!!!!!!Even Max Muscle stores (Hi, MadMax!!) Are you sure there are distribuitors of your company down here ???
And another thing: the way you talk about your product sounds like it has no other benefit than a tasteful flavor. Is it just an overpriced sugar free Tang???
Supplement consumers want a functional product before they have to worry about a goody good taste! :-\

A lot of the raw materials that are used in supplements today are mass produced and sold to many of the leading companies in bulk. Saying one supp is bad while saying another is better is a moot point because it may come down to having the primary ingredients coming from the same source.
Actually, a lot of supps company, the only control they have are the ratios of the products and the taste. This is why a lot of companies make sure they promote the great taste their product promises because often it is the only way to distinguish themselves from their competitors.
Let's face it, there are some terrible tasting products out there and without a superior taste, most people don't want to use it.

As someone else said, 99% of all manufacturers outsource their stuff. Whey for Protein only comes from one or 2 places and they are cheese manufacturers, I know cuz I used to work with one.
As of 2-3 years ago there was only 2 or 3 Creatine Manufacturerers which of course sold to the supp companys.

Guys his protein does taste great...I love the vanilla Hazelnut Chocalate...I personally use real foods most of the time but when im in a rush and want to slug down a shake...You can't beat Betancourt Nutrition...Like Gaspari's stuff..Its good to see someone who actually knows what they are talking about when it comes to supplements and have the body to go with it...

Its takes a person in shape to know what works and what doesn't. The ads for Muscletech of some old schmo doctor telling me what works and what doesn't is BS. I trust people that look the role. Jorge looks the role. Some of the best products out there come from guys like Labrada and Gaspari. They know their stuff and can be trusted. Trusting some big faceless name like Muscletech is not the best idea.

What's the difference with him and some of the other guys on here who post 100's of photo's of themselves over and over? He's got a company and is using this site as a ways to get the name out there...if you guys hate supplement companies that's fine but c'mon, you're acting like it's his fault there are some shadey products out there.

The ads are nice however the name does not communicate to the consumer what the product is and what the intended use is. Anthony Alfonso should have told you this. In addition, if you truly want to be different than all of the other "me too" companies, either supply a grad program or research group with product or a grant to study (tax credible under IRS Codes 174 and 141) if your product(s) actually do what you claim (if the FTC or FDA ever come after you - you have no first hand substantiation, before & afters do not count).
Who cares what an owner looks like, integrity with a quality product will always sell and enable a long-term business, looks = flash in the pan business unless your name is Elle McPherson. PM me and I will send you the info on how to get the tax credits.
