It's between ManU and Liverpool. Liverpool just need to get off on a flyer, unlike last season.

I think Chelsea are gonna struggle at the back whilst Terry is out, and they're gonna lose Drogba for the African Cup of Nations.

It's gonna be interesting to see how Fergie fits Tevez into the side with Rooney. Rooney for top scorer this season.

Arsenal will definately challenge this season.

They made the necessary move when getting rid of Ljungberg, freeing up some salary leverage.

Not to mention, that type of player demands a lot of attention.

Not like Bergkamp, who would produce year after year, not demanding all that much in playing time either, and support from Arsene.

Lehmann is the only problem. Obviously Gunners need another goalie, someone reliable, someone like Casillas, Reina or Czech.

Yeah you're right about ljungberg, it was a good decision, Wenger always been good at sensing when a player is past his best and moving them on ( pires, viera, petite,  overmars ect). I think when Lehman is on form there are few goalies who are better than him, but when he's bad...

DERBY COUNTY!

Managed to get a ticket for the tolouse game on tuesday and the lpool v derby county game yday - judging by this, derby are definately going to finish bottom, and the reds have a real genuine chance of challenging for the title with chelsea and united  :)

Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool
Liverpool Liverpool Liverpooool

Although the mad penalty from Chelsea when the ref got sent off was a sham, I think we're off to a great start.  Premier League, Champions, Europe, the World, this season Liverpool are the ones to watch.

did I tell you I have my grandads signing on papers?  He got £10.  Kinda wish it had been my husband or my son who played.

Irregardless, I'm thankful I'm Liverpool fc blood!!

Reina

We keep him, okay?

from Lpool website:
"People always go on about strikers scoring a hat-trick but what about a keeper ?
Pepe Reina has won the Barclays Golden Glove Award 2 seasons in a row and who would bet against him making it a third season in a row ! He's already managed to keep 39 clean sheets

Reina can have his hat trick and more importantly Liverpool can have it's hands on the Premiership trophy

nope.  we moved to Harlow New Town, Essex when I was 4.  My Dad was an engineer and applied for and got a brand new Council flat.  Then we emigrated to Canada when I was 14.  After that I came back to England and now have a flat in London.

I still have lotsa family in Liddypool though.

...or that might be him on the far right, I honestly don't know.  I've only just found this pic.  For some mad reason, it's difficult to find old team pix from the 20s.  This one came from a Canadian website because I couldn't find 1926 1927 or 1928 photos on any English website...

If I can, I'll scan me granddad's signing on papers and post them here.  They're hilarious.  They were allowed (encouraged even) to drink and smoke and head heavy leather balls.  All that for £5 a week and £10 signing on.  It's a 4 page document and about all it really says is that he must show up on the day for the match.

His name was Robert (Nobby) Clark and he was a winger.  He played on the team with the extremely famous player I've forgotten the name of but will remember shortly.  We still have lots of memorabillia, programs etc.  Wish we'd kept his kit...

I think they won in 1926 or 27.  For some reason, records around that time are scarce.

I wrote to Anfield archives explaining that I'd be proud to see a photo if they had one, expecting them to invite me to a VIP box overlooking the kop immediately, but heard nowt.

anyways, no worries, we're chatting about this season !!!

And Liverpool are the most winningest ever.  The bestest.
