She needs your help or opinion on how to handle this...
It was Sexy Dr. Dena Westerfield a Ms. O contender,
just saw her Blog in her site and coudn't think of a better place to post it...
Dena- "So I had something happen this Friday at work.
I'm still not sure how I want to handle it.
Do I send this person a letter, confront them personally, or just blow it off. You guy's tell me.. I have a poster of myself hanging on my door outside the office. It is a beautiful picture of me. I use it for most of my advertisement and business cards. It is one of my highest selling pictures. I will post it for my pix of the week. Anyway, there was a woman with her 3 young children outside my office being extremely loud. I'm use to this, since my door is my the front of the gym.. but this was out of control. The children were screaming OHHH MOMMY YUCKY UGLY MUSCLES while pointing at my picture. They kept saying it and screaming it to each other till mommy chimed in and said "Yes yucky ugly muscles".

"I was out that door. I excused myself from my patient, and poked my head out the door. I looked at the children and then mommy. She was very apologetic on the fact that her children were screaming outside my office; she even looked at me and said yucky muscles and giggled like.. oh kids will say anything..totally oblivious to the fact she just insulted me to my face. I've learned the hard way that when my heart is beating 1000bpm, keep your mouth shut, so I walked back in my office. I saw her come back in so I stepped back out of the office and looked at her. She was getting a drink out of the cooler and looked over and said sorry again for being loud. I realized that I was probably intimidating her by now ,but not intentionally. I'm wanting to voice my feelings but I can't because I still need time to think before inserting foot into mouth.. Now with her thinking that I'm a mean muscle doctor and you better not make a peep outside her office, I'm flabbergasted by her ignorance! The punch line to the story is this... her youngest child is MONGOLOID!!! I can empathize with him and I KNOW he will be talked and whispered about behind his back his entire life. I'm sure mommy has had talks with this beautiful young man explaining to him that beauty is only skin deep, don't judge a book by its cover, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that one day... after all the teasing... there is an advantage to being different. I'm sure his siblings will forever protect and stand up for their handicapped brother, yet mommy laughs, encourages, and chimes in with them to look at my beautiful picture and view and voice that it's ugly???? What is she teaching her children?? If I was missing a limb I wounder what she would say when they passed me in the store. The real sad part to this story is that mommy is so closed minded, she has NO IDEA. Ugly, pretty whatever wouldn't a normal parent tell their children not to make fun of others or say things to hurt others feelings?? ESPECIALLY when you have your own family issues. How many times in elementary school is her little one going to be ask why he looks like that?? Come on!! OH.. I was pissed. By no means, did mommy make me feel ugly or insecure.. it actually made me want to go downstairs and start pumping up my muscles...lol.. What do you guy's think?

I agree with Nickatina. Parents will say anything to get their kids to shut the fuck up except "Shut the fuck up!" Besides, if the disabled kid was the one doing the screaming, what's there to be offended by? The parent was trying to placate her kids and the kid can't help himself.

hahahahhaaa, like i said i've seen her in a couple of the gyms in town and the funny thing is that she's more feminine looking in person than she looks in pics, she was having an NPC Nationals level dude who worked in my old gym help her out with her posing and she's not very big at all but very ripped, we have one of the most widely known Chiro schools here in St. Louis called Logan College and it's frighteningly easy to get into, i wouldn't want some of those people working on my back.

Is she a doctor in chiro? If that is the case, she needs to just shut up and stop scamming with near-complete pseudo-science to people desparate for cures. Most people have no idea that almost nothing in the field has been rigorously tested and half of the theories are practically out of Big Trouble in Little China.

Also, if you put up that kind of poster on your office door (WTF?), what do you expect. It doesn't matter if the poster looks like he in person or if it was even her in the poster at all. Most people who go to standard medical schools are bitter about Chiro's because you can get in and out in less than 7 years and make a $hit load of money. Plus you don't have to do round's and a residency.
Most people just associate Dr with Surgery, not the case a typical MD wouldn't be allowed to touch you with more than a needle unless of course he had to give an emergency trach on the side of the highway.

But trust me, none of us envy chiropractors.
3. Regarding your point about surgeons and trachs, technically once you are a physician, you can legally do any procedure you want. You don't have to be board-certified in dermatology, for example, to inject botox. Board certification just makes it easier to get a job in a particular field. But you can theoretically work as any kind of doctor you want, even if you didn't complete a residency in that field. (but good luck getting insurance companies to pay you).

Many of the chiro's in the metro area I live in have to supplement their income with things like massage therapy or personal training on the side. Although I have been to one chiro who was ok, from now on I'll save my money for a massage and a trip to an Ortho doc any day.

If that was my child, I would have reprimanded them. Under no circumstances have I ever allowed my child to make rude comments....not saying my kid never made rude comments, but when she did she would get into trouble, not have me laugh along with her. Dena has a valid point I think, I doubt the mother would like it if people were laughing at her mongoloid kid.
Do I condone women using gear and looking like guys? No. But I also don't think it's cool to condone a kid being all rude.

Actually I was stating that DO's practice surgery.
MD's practice medicine
Etc......
They have malpractice insurance and they have to act within the scope of their specialty.
And yes I know quite a few doctors who feel pissed because they pay 4-5times the malpractice insurance their chiro friends do. And they make just as much money at least here in FL they do, if not more.

I wonder what drives a woman to do this? The last time I checked, heterosexual men want to be manly and heterosexual women want to be womenly. I could understand the phenom of female bodybuilding if they were all lesbians, but many are straight. So what do you guys think drives a straight woman to want to become like a member of the opposite sex ??? I welcome theories from all perspectives: evolutionary biology, psychoanalysis, neurophysiology, etc.

For the attention (Popularity)... In Dena's case, she's a doctor so she's not in bb for the money..

If that was my child, I would have reprimanded them. Under no circumstances have I ever allowed my child to make rude comments....not saying my kid never made rude comments, but when she did she would get into trouble, not have me laugh along with her. Dena has a valid point I think, I doubt the mother would like it if people were laughing at her mongoloid kid.
