Kongo should have lost points or been disqualified for all those knees to the balls. You can bet you ass if that had happened to Liddell or Couture, Kongo would have lost points.

I understand that they want the action to continue, but 5 minutes is not enough time to recover from that.
The worst part, of course, is that it's in the back of your mind that your opponent is a dirty fighter and that can definitely impact your game.

Kongo already broke Cro Cop's rib in the first round with roundhouse kicks.
Also, John McCarthy asked Mirko if he wanted to take a full 5 minutes and he refused, got back up, and started fighting again.

knees to the ball is pretty common especially in k1
big john was watching very closely after that, making sure it wouldnt happen again or kongo wouldve lost point

Also, the people complaining about the knees probably didn't give a shit when GSP kicked Matt Hughes in the nads a thousand times.

I have always hated him. He acts like a fkn punk. Rampage does as well, but he is funny and reminds me of Shaq, so I got no problem with him.

Cro Cop is a punk because he's always making excuses for his losses instead of giving credit to the other fighter.
When asked about the Gonzaga loss he said something to the effect of, "strange things can happen."
Why don't you just admit Gonzaga was better that day Mirko? Are you turning into Bisping or what?
When asked about the subsequent loss to Kong he said, "maybe I'm getting old, I was kneed in the balls."

yeah rampage has an awareness of what he's saying, he knows he's cool and is joking around and because of that you cant hate on the guy
in fact, its pretty amazing that he's so skilled with that kinda attitude... its like all attitude and joking around and skills too, what doesnt he have...

It was one unintentional kick to the shrivled up raisins that Matt "redneck" Hughes, calls balls. Matt admitted in the post fight interview that the 2nd kick hit his upper leg and it hurt so bad that he faked the nut-sack kick. Watch it on the UFC site...

thats bad sportmanship right there
most actual knees are unintentional and even the few times theyre not, the one who gets numerous knees have the chance to put himself in another position... but faking getting kneed isnt cool

When he lost to Gonzaga, he said he wasn't focused and didn't train in a cage. He also said that fighting in the UFC is more dangerous. I don't see that as making excuses. I think he's being honest.

At least now, that PRIDE snobbery has been eliminated...along with the nuthugging fans.
