I don't have it, yet. But, I grew up within the same time frame that SA took place. Loved the music, the cars, atmosphere, et cetera.

Anyone here had the GTA Games on Xbox? The reason I ask is that I have only played them on PS2. So, I may have to get it on the 360 this time around, as I don't own a PS3 yet. I'm not sure I wanna dish out $600 for one.

After playing for most of the morning I never realized how much that negro CJ grew on me in the last one. With that being said I always get overwhelmed at having to learn a new city when I play a sandbox game.

PC gaming can get ridiculously expensive - Google the game Crysis to see what I mean. As the graphics and such get pushed further, the video cards and the like cannot keep up and require a gear upgrade just to play them.

Couple reasons why I haven't bought a PS3 yet is also the games they are putting out take up GB's worth of space. Also blu-ray movies are just to expensive for me which would be the main reason I'd buy the system. The controller farts out in the middle of games and it's online is not nearly as robust as Xbox Live.

I think the city and some of the stuff borrows from Saints Row.
The game best described is the good parts of VC and SA remade into GTA III. It's almost like they remade GTA III completely. I think it's a lot more focused and easier to follow. You can also play the game at your pace.

I recommend SKATE. I killed a ton of time w/ that.
I'm not having as much fun as I did with SA but a mediocre GTA is still better then 99% of games in that catagory.

The graphics are improved and the enviroment interactions is great! More so than the previous GTA. Gotta pay toll roads if you don't wanna attract attention; drivers you carjack will try to get their vehicle back - even if it means hanging on to the door!; breaking car windows and hotwiring. There's just so much more to this game I'm sure I haven't discovered yet.
On a side note - I was driving my car really fast through the streets and came across an intersection at a red light that I just ran, but at that very moment an SUV, who had the right of way, was in front of me and plowed right into the side! It must've been the gas tank side because the SUV suddenly caught on fire; the driver got out on fire and *BOOM* the SUV exploded! :D
Oh. And you can get drunk at bars, and damn if it ain't hard to have Niko walk and drive! In fact, if you drink and drive, the 5-0 will be on the lookout for you and try to stop ya!
Highly recommended game - hands down! 8)
