Seems to me that the reports say that Kai Greene is not in shape for the New York Pro and will disappoint the fans. I hope that is not true, as I expect to see Kai in the same great physique he was at the Arnold Classic.

I know that bodybuilding has never really been an art form but when you see that shit it's hard not to have total disgust with how far it's sunk.
You may as well have the Chippendales at the next Mr O.. It just looks like some tacky fucking hen night show in some out in the middle of nowhere bar in bumblefuck. At least try to create the illusion of it being serious and artistic..not some lowbrow strip show.

What do I thin? I thin that Arnold is at least part of an era where they tried to make it about something serious and raise it to an artistic level.
Ok, it has always been fagbait to some degree but bring back the days where they wore proper trunks and didn't roll them into their asscrack and turn it into some talentless male stripper fest with stupid costumes and dumb masks.
Also, if you want posing try Ed Corney. Compare him putting everything into trying to raise his physique to the level of art and compare it to this guy sticking his dick in a watermelon and shaking it around...The guy just looks like a male stripper. It's not even about posing..it's about the fucking tacky costume.

I found this amusing, but also agree.
Plus, Kai has a great physique, and the outfits only detract IMO.

I remember that George Butler had Arnold, Zane, etc do classic poses on these revolving disc like stages at a fund raiser to help produce Pumping Iron. It was viewed more as human art, than some muscleheads flexing and guess what? The movers and shakers opened their wallets and checkbooks.
The current bodybuilding world has done a good marketing the sport to small, insular , like minded , hardcore group of fans.This strategy may preserve the status quo, but will leave bodybuilding as a cult sport.

you guys remember a few years ago when they showed pics of vic martinez a few weeks out and he was sliced by the time the show came on even though his previous pics showed him puffy and bloated.
