That I never knew
-
he got in trouble for getting too carried away giving a massage to a female client, among other indescretions.

Also an exceptional Olympic lifter. Light heavy class and set some old AAU lifting records I believe. Probably the same year he won Mr America. Never heard about jail time. U.S. or South Africa?
In the old AAU, most BB'ing contest was held right after the Olympic lifting was through. Made for a long night. Do not know if this applied to the Mr America contest. Pretty big event back in the day.

this late bodybuilding contests were pretty much the rule in the aau in no small part due to bob hoffman disdain for mirror athletes. i don't know what year they split with this dual meet idea.

He got into spots of trouble all over the place, the most recent was Florida. You use to be able to view his some of criminal record on-line. Most, if not all of it was for molesting/fondling women.
Sort of tempered my feelings for him.
There was an fellow on another lifting board that was a guard at one of the prisons he was in, and said Roy was very strong and fit when he has there.
