Check out a Shiba Inu. They look like little miniature Akitas or little foxes.
Hopefully, you can catch these little guys while they're on air.

I am down with my 2 german shepherd's , you should get one too, they are awesome. greatest friends ever, i feed them with eukanuba food during the week and the same meat i eat on weekends.
Adolf & Fidel (and no im not joking)

Get a spud Mackenzie dog. I can't remember the name I think it is a bull terrier. Those dogs are hella cool. Small to and athletic. Would give you a good buddy to ride in the hummer with.

get an english bull dog..i have one named Kosmo. he is pretty cool. Only thing is when he eats...he eats too fast and throws up...but as long as youre a good dog owner as far as the walking and the feeding timing...he is a great dog...

also...my old roomate had a rhodesian ridgeback...an all black one..the most awesome dog i have ever seen...look it up.

English bulldog, very affectionate and great dog... but I need something that can run in the woods and catch gofers :), yea I heard wippet are great for that but they have a tendency to juice up too much :)

German Shepherd... my favorite dog; for a while my Dad was a RCMP K9 Police, we used to breed them and train them. Great dog but I want something more compact for now :)

Take her to see a puppy, this will change her whole aspect, Every dog is cute, even the scary ones when they are puppies.
-
a vote for bull terriers if you want something athletic. dogs are effing awesome. playful, downright goofy, plus i love any dog with a really distinct look.
-
Perfect!

Staffordshire Terriers are cool.
Don't get a jack russell. I hate them dogs. Neighbour has one and all it does it bark and go psycho.
I don't know if their suitable, but French Bulldogs are cool. In fact, pretty much any kind of bulldog is cool. I don't think they're very energetic dogs though. I could be wrong, but i think they can be a little bit more "high maintenance" than most breeds...

Staffordshire Terrier = me like. Massive muscular and athletic. Very pittbullish too. I'm turning into a dog schmoe.

bullies are the opposite of energetic. :D
as for maintenance, depends on your breeder. hip and eye problems are kinda common, but so far mine's had neither. i've spent more on kittens in the first year than i have on my bully so far.

Princess, I think the show is over on those babies :(
I love those bull terriers too. I want one....maybe someday!

Miniature bull terrier....athletic type miniature English bulldog....French Bulldog....Boston terrier. All of these dogs fit your requirements. I would recommend the mini bull terrier. Your wife should not be afraid of the mini bull's, they only weigh about 15-25lbs. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks body88.... miniature Terrier might be a good bet... an all black one would be cool

We bred a couple of batches of ROTT.. the last one we kept, "Brutus" was well over 130lb... being humped by that beast was statutory classified as rape ;D

I vote for Bulldogs, Rotties 2nd. ;) Knny, luv ya.
Do a search for American Bulldogs.
-
I think he wants a puny dog....not that there's anything wrong with puny dogs
-
I have an American bull, but he is very large. I believe Alex was looking for something under 25lbs. Below is a updated picture of my boy. Last time you guys saw him he was 1 year old. I will try to get some better shots up soon. This was taken with my blackberry, and it's not a very high quality picture! I don't think my puppy likes what is being done to his ears!

No problem. I think thats your best bet. I (like you) am in the market to find a smaller dog as a sister to my American bull. I want something that is athletic enough to keep up with him, but also something that is small and compact.
I think the mini bull is perfect for you. Find a nice stout little guy that is about 20lbs of solid muscle. Check this guy out:

I say go with the mini bull as well. Patton had the full size.
http://www.pattonhq.com/willie.html
General Patton was an avid animal lover. He bought the first of many bull terriers just after World War I for his daughters, Beatrice and Ruth Ellen, and named him Tank. Although Tank turned out to be stone deaf, the girls loved him and called him by thumping on the floor. In spite of his deafness, Tank somehow always knew when Patton was arriving home and met him at the front door.
The most famous bull terrier owned by General Patton was purchased on 4 March, 1944. He was named Willie, short for "William the Conqueror." Willie was devoted to General Patton and followed him everywhere.
When General Patton bought Willie, he wrote in his diary, "My bull pup . . . took to me like a duck to water. He is 15 months old, pure white except for a little lemin [sic] on his tail which to a cursory glance would seem to indicate that he had not used toilet paper. . ." Willie wore jingle bells on his collar so everyone would know when he was around and he was rumored to be a prodigious "lover." He supposedly had his own set of "dog tags," too.
Or you could always go with the "Snatch" dog, Daisy!!!! lol

Lol, no. I do wish I could figure out what kind of dog it was in the movie. It looks like a pitbull mixed with something else.
-
Another criteria; my new dog must be able to do this;

He reminds me of my ex.... she loved a mouthful of hairy balls.

what happened to the lab you had?
his girlfriend told him to get rid of her and he did like the bitch he is!
Make sure you get a signed permission slip before you get another one bitch!

Perfect!

That is a Sheba Inu. They stay looking just like that, only a little bigger - maybe 25 lbs.
-
Staffy or Pitbull mate if you want compact yet still muscular/athletic.
Gorgeous looking dogs to..
If size wasnt an issue then Rottweiler all the way :)
-
once you have a Rottie....how can you think of having something different?
Word..
Ive owned two Rotties and as soon as "current" living arrangements change I want a couple more..
-
