Agreed! The bottom one almost looks like it's from some sci-fi movie. What a gorgeous dog.

That is an extremely cool looking dog. Is that yours Hazbin? What kind is it?

You would think their noses would get cold burrowing down like that :D
What kind of camera do you have?

cool dog ya that bottom pic looks crazy

i found Lucan on an Indian reserve about 7 years ago. he was pretty skinny but took to me right away and he's got a pretty good life now. i would be living in Arizona for the winters if it wasn't for him loving the cold so much!
that bottom pic is an action shot, i think he looks pretty crazy there too. but he is a very calm, gentle freak. one of a kind, never saw anything like him before.
i wondered why his nose doesn't freeze. it's wet and doesnt' have any fur, so you would think it would be frozen real quick.
my camera is just a Kodak EasyShare 6.1 magapixel. a few years old, but takes some pretty good pics.

HE sure does look like he is loving it. Dogs are crazy lucka and Chaos both have short hair (staffy and APBT) but both of my boys love the snow. They will stay out side for hours chasing each other. They also love to catch snow balls. When they come inside they are all wet and they both will bury their heads up to their eyes in the snow and they never freeze? I keep telling the wife they are going to hate Las Vegas next year.

Do you need to brush him alot or is he just naturally silky?

i only brush him in the spring for a couple of weeks. he "double coats" for the winter, an extra layer of insulation that doesn't even seem to be attached. it stays in place till the weather changes and it comes out in the spring like crazy!! you can literally fill garbage bags with the stuff. it isn't even his color.

Does he like the brush?
i wasn't sure how he would react the first time, but as soon as i started brushing he sat up as tall as he could and stayed for a while. when he has had enough, he just walks away. amazing animal!
