Title: If I hear one more piece of BS about Lyle Alzado!!!!!!!!!!
Post by: Wiggs on February 11, 2009, 03:50:11 PM: I'm enjoy listen to sports talk radio. Because of the A-Rod deal all these schmucks keep using Alzado as proof that steriods are bad.

It is well known that Alzado did not die from anything steroid related.

If he did how come he was the only one to die of this mysterious disease?

I've heard many rumors about why he died but they are all rumors. Fact is he didn't die from STEROIDS!!!

It's nothing much. It's just that allegedly he was a homosexual and he go aids and that's what caused him to die. BEEFY would probably know more about this since it all took place in Cali.

lymphoma is not a brain tumor. And yes, it was AIDS related. His doctor at City of Hope is a well know AIDS lymphoma specialist.

Lymphoma can occur in the brain in various forms. Alzado had primary CNS lymphoma, I believe, which is essentially a brain lymphoma. It is not always AIDS-related. A good number of cases are AIDS-un-related, in fact. I've heard the AIDS things mentioned before, but if it's solely because of the brain tumor he had, it may be a stretch. That his doctor treated AIDS and lymphoma doesn't mean he had AIDS either. There's a specialty called hematology/oncology, and back in the day (before AIDS treatment became it's own specialty), these guys treated AIDS and cancer.
