Title: What about "diet" drinks?
Post by: Meso_z on February 23, 2009, 01:58:09 AM
I think i will add some coke light or zero to my diet for the first time.

Today in my 12th week of dieting (beggining  :() i had some strong  cravings, i tried some coke light and im "full" right now... :o

I dont know it has ZERO cals but it looks suspicious to me.....

will it harm my diet? Its the first time i drank coke after a long time.

Palumbo said that you can drink as much diet soda as you want on a pre-contest diet. I drink coke zero everyday, tastes awesome.

Yeah but he says that stimulates like caffeine work against your body for retaining/building muscle.

dieting itself works against retaining/building muscle.

the idea that fat loss stimulants shouldnt be used be cause of cortisol is malarky. in a natural , caffiene boosts testosterone at the same time as boosting cortisol, so the two negate eachother. in an AAS user, theres no need at all to worry about cortisol.

Nothing wrong with Coke Light or Coke Zero - I drink that stuff 365 days a year whether offseason or precontest. It's good for helping to wash down bland meals like chicken and rice etc.

Nasser would drink diet coke all year round when competing, and even today.

I think there is a slight difference of opinion on this subject as many believe the artificial sweeteners affect your body's ability to shed fat.  Also, be certain to watch the amount of sodium in the soda as you near showtime.

Haha - yes, I'm not a fan of ketchup so I've taken to putting Nandos peri-peri sauce in with mine - spicy as hell and gives the meal some great taste.

Hey why dont you invite Nasser to have his own sticky here on the positive board so he can answer various questions from time to time. It should be awesome.

Well, except from the "Team Nasser" stuff, which i am negative about...

it should be a "golden" add into GB community.

In all seriousness and all bulshit aside from the Gossip and Opinions.

Decaffeinated Crystal Lite is my current fav.
I don’t know what it is, but I prefer the taste to that of regular.
Plus, decaf. makes it ideal for late night consumption.

It has been under the gun for many years and it still gets the approval. A small % of people claim serious health problems with it.  It was demonstrated in a lab to put holes in rat's brains. It's bad for rodents.
