Title: Flying and old or healing injuries
Post by: powerpack on May 29, 2009, 10:51:21 PM
I have had 14 flights this year.
Every time I get off the plane my right hand calf, left hand fore arm and right hand shoulder throbs for hours.
These are all recent injuries that healed but flying for hours seems to bring them to the surface again.
I am not the only guy to complain about this.
Any theories about why this happens.

Maybe the air pressure causes swelling in those places?  Also sitting for hours may be part of the problem.  You should do sprints up and down the aisle for a few minutes for each hour of flight and squat thrusts in the bulk head.

And then I get band from every airline :)
I also recon it has something to do with the airpressure.

Yah, probably the air pressure.  May want to try extra fluids and an anti-inflam pre-flight.
