The Golden Eagle was one of those legends who laid the ground work for the leg development that we see today.Many bodybuilders neglect their leg development.Tom was pre-Paul DeMayo.

Tom Platz is, was and always will be, the true leg king of bodybuilding.

He really brought his upper body up to match those wheels for the 81 Olympia.

Pretty sure that was many years ago, but he tore I think his biceps (or was it his pec?) and that finished him off for good. His final brush with greatness was definitely '81. After that he just wasn't the same and began to be plagued by injuries.

a couple years ago, in an interview platz said something about coming back and competing after watching the new rocky movie,in the interview they said he was training for a comeback,but i hacve never heard if he competed or not.

Tore his bicep doing those rediculous overexagerated dumbell flyes.
