Here's a couple of rare pics I found of Jay that appear to
show him in incredible dry condition. Check out the left bicep
and the striations in the left leg even in the double bicep pose.
It took me awhile to figure out what contest this was from
but take your own guesses. I can say without doubt that his overall
SHAPE was better than 09...smaller waist, ect.
So, what contest?
What about the condition? Good lighting perhaps?
I'll throw in the best 09 DB pics from MD, FLEX and MT for comparison.

You got it. I think he was in such good condition and still lost to Dexter
that it led to him overdoing it for the 2004 Arnold Classic.
Imagine coming in that good of shape and still losing.
He tried to get even more ripped for the AC and lost a lot of muscle
in the process.

None remember because Ronnie beat him like he stole his lunch money at the O weeks prior.

The results of the GNC show in both 2002 and 2003 were debated. Personally I would have had Jay win in 2002. As for 2002, Gunter looked amazing and Ronnie was off, so who knows? Of course it is possible that decision was simply political.

The disparity between is left and right quad is just so glaring. Maybe he should just train his right leg and allow his left quad to atrophy a bit. His left quad is just so huge that losing a couple of inches won't matter and will improve his proportions.

I'm see the same thing with his biceps. Left is at least 30% bigger/rounder than the right.

So much better, better balance and deeper cuts. New version is far less appealing.

I am just wondering, how did he lose that contest to Dexter..? :-\
Jay has all body parts + super wide shoulders + great condition and dryness, what did he need more to beat Dexter “Calves free” Jackson ..? ;D

Because Dex looks awesome and Jay is a fridge who has a waist almost as wide as his shoulders. Ronnie didnt have calves and won 8 Olympia's
