I had my first manicure in Ft Meyers Florida before a TV interview I was doing. I loved it. I remember the first day at the gym aftrwards I was benching and holding onto the bar while resting. A guy came by and asked me if I had nail polish on. i got all excited and told no they take this thing and buff your nails so they shine. I just thought that was so cool for some reason. I actually missed out on being the hand model for a part in a commercial because my cuticles were split from training so much. pete Koch got the part. We both did the commercial but he got to be paid twice cause he came back for the closeup shot. So I enjoyed a manicure about twice a month for several years. Used to go Hermosa Nail in Hermosa Beach which my friend owns. That was alot of fun too.

you know I have had one or two pedicures. I have lost both my big toe nails multiple times playing baseball. I have lost my left twice and right 3 times. I was surprised they grew back but they don't look really hot and are thicker than hell.

One of my ex's once gave me a pedicure. It was my first and last. She peeled like .5" of the skin off of my foot. I literally shrunk from 5'10" to 5'9.5". It's useless bullshit imo. Manicure's are for extreme metros and fags.

No reason for a man not to be well groomed.
If you want to be well groomed.. keep your nails clean, clipped.. file them if you really want to go the extra mile. Takes 5 min.
What you want to be.. is pampered and primped - just like women who get manicures.

I'll second that emotion.
I go to the spa for regular massages (steam room, sauna whirlpool, etc.), but I have never gotten a manicure or pedicure. Not that there is anything wrong with that. 8)

It has to do with the getting *primped and pampered*.. getting your nails done, like a woman. It’s a *girly* thing to do.

I train in the wee hours of the morning, empty gym, and I’m not a friendly type when I train. If there happens to be another guy in the gym at the same time, he stays away from me. I'll take your word for it about the smell :)

well I go at 5am then usually around 6pm..UGH that is when the smell is bad sometimes. I do cardio, I just get the whiff as they walk by

Not sure maybe because I look like a MAN there doing manly things. And I don't do my nails anymore. I work them myself. I just dont get them buffed :D

I sometimes go to a health spa where I get a massage, facial cleansing, cucumbers on the eyes, acupuncture, aromatherapy and all that.
But going into a nail shop and getting a pedicure is definitely flaming. Just clip and file your nails and use hand lotion if your hands look all rough and fucked up.

If my hands aren't rough, calloused, and covered in fresh and partially healed wounds, I start doubting my masculinity. I don't even use lotion for jerking the chorizo.

Wow lots of responses here, well I decided to go and get it done, went to a men's spa here in downtown edmonton and let me tell you it was great, got the full executive treatment, total cost for hands and feet was $110.00, they even serve you beer and scotch while you are getting it done and to top it off the have widescreen tv's playing sports! had a great time and will do it again.
Also those of you hating on it probably can't affford it with your drive thru jobs so stfu 8)
