For assault weapon ban, waiting period, & background check
I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With today’s Internet technology we should be able to tell within 72-hours if a potential gun owner has a record.

It's sad that so many republicans are screaming "Trump 2012" when he's had so many liberal positions.
Maybe they don't research teh candidates, and they just catch celebrity fever.
Why not just choose a boring candidate who has been consistently republican. This isn't a small issue - this is a huge issue for the last 20 years. Assault weapons ban. Trump supported it during Bush's term. insane.

I was talking to someone about this the other day. As much as I like his sound bites, I think he should wait. He doesn't think he's ready. Very similar to Obama acknowledging he wasn't ready. Some of those people need more time in the trenches. I think that is true of Palin. She may have become more of a rising star had she finished out her term and maybe served in the Senate.
Frankly, I'd rather see people in their 50s and 60s running.
