Post by: bladerunner on August 15, 2011, 12:17:33 AM
I'm going to malaysia in 10 days for about one week. Im in the middle of my cycle n want  to bring with me my gear to keep pinning. They have the death penalty there for drugs, not sure about anabolics though.  google it lazy.

One sure fire way to find out is to just walk into a pharmacy and ask if they have them. Apparently some states, such as the eastern part of the country they are legal and readily available.  It's not illegal to ask so just walk into a pharmacy and ask if they have them.  You might have to check with a few of them because not all pharmacies will carry them.

As a Malaysian born, let me advise you the following:

Do Not:
bring drugs
kill anyone
fuck with public services especially insulting the government.
be a curious george in trying to walk in some alleyways because you'll be mugged by fucked up illegals
be careless when engaging prostitution

Do:
buy loads of cheap clothes
eat loads of food (mostly unhealthy and artery clogging)

Summary:
Go in, eat, shop and get the fuck out

Please adhere the advise above from your fellow Getbigger if you want to return home alive and happy

 ;D ;D ;D

Dude - just go and enjoy yourself. I was born in that part of the world and travel there often (Singapore and Malaysia). The pharmacies will not be able to help you. Anabolics may not get you hanged, but more than likely could cause you a shit load of trouble if you get caught. There is no leniency with these guys - the policy is very clear - drugs = not a happy stay in Malaysia and probably not a quick return trip home.

Just go, enjoy the food, enjoy the shopping and get back on cycle when you're home again. I would never risk it myself.

As with most south asian countries - there are pockets where some things are basically ok, and other areas where it isn't - really depends on the local police. Would not chance it if I were you - I found a number of ok pharmacies over there where there was decent stuff to be purchased but also alot of counterfeit (or at least stuff that I wouldn't chance). Definately would not take stuff with you - because you are largely relying on the 'discretion' of the local enforcing authorities. I lived there for a while and found that it really depended on who, what and how well you know various people. Given that amount of uncertainty I would recommend you are very careful - risk/reward - better off just having a good time and taking a small break from your cycle. Good luck.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!
Fancy finding my handle here in this thread.

Well, you won't get hanged for bringing juice in especially in small quantity for personal use. Syringes can be purchased from pharmacies, juice on the other hand maybe harder to come by. They could still just make things hard for you tho...so maybe not worth the trouble.

Everything here is great contrary to the belief that this is some fcuked up islamic country. The government here are very liberal eventhough it is officially a muslim ruled nation. Malay chicks are the hottest around lol...kinda like Asian Latinas.

Just make sure the cab drivers use the meter to avoid getting ripped off. Food is great, wide variety to choose from...local all the way to western.
Hard rock which is next to Concorde Hotel all the way down are clubs and pubs where you can check them out. Shopping heaven is KLCC, Pavillion and Sungei Wang PLaza...more on other end of town such as Mid Valley megamall, The Curve and One Utama. Bring GPS cos these malls are huge and would likely get lost in it lol!

Have a good time in Malaysia ;)

If you're staying around the twin towers then you're pretty central, walking distance to most malls and eatery. Chinatown isn't too far off either...can walk there but best go by cab. Should be able to see a lot and if you like a 360 degree view of the city, then make your way over to the Telekom Tower, they have a revolving restaurant with good food and great view.
