Hip-hop hot shot Jay-Z is getting hammered by carpenters for using nonunion labor for the facelift of his Manhattan club 40/40.
But the carpenters union, which erected five inflatable rats outside the Chelsea joint this week, has gone too far by shouting the N-word at management, according to Jay-Z's rep.
"The union is trying to bully 40/40 to hire union workers. They were shouting racial slurs. It was really inappropriate protesting," said Lauren Menache, a spokeswoman for the Brooklyn-born singer.

I've had more trouble with union workers then anyone else. I cannot blame Jay Z one bit. I try to stay away from union workers as much as I possibly can.

I used the Sous Vide machine last night and made the best Steak I have ever eaten. I am in love with this thing!!!!! Let me ask you about Garlic. I didn`t use any as I think raw garlic once in the bath would not be so great as I think it needs the benefit of the Maillard Reaction in order to not overpower any meat. 130 just did not seem to me to be enough to coax the flavor I was looking for from Garlic for my Steak.
Do you ever Sous Vide garlic with any meats and do you Roast it first?

I had benefits while working there part time and making way more than 8:50 a hour. You got fucked, son. :D I was there years ago and was making $13-14 a hour and skill pay for working the tower. You must have been a unloader or a loader. :-\

Unions can be a good thing. They ensure pay raises,vacation time and health coverage etc
But there is no need for racial slurs.
