Title: 401k legal question. Pls help.

So it appears my company withdrew a sum of money from my 401k because of excess employer contribution. My question is, is this legal?  They did not even tell me about it I just saw it on my statement. I contacted hr who was very little help, so naturally my next step in my investigation is taking it to getbig. I really want to get to the bottom of this. Any lawyers or people of knowlege advices would be appreciated.

Sorry bud, me personally wouldn't be an "expert" with these type of legal matters. But i'll bump this for an update.
