Title: I feel bad for Nick Diaz...
Post by: MindSpin on November 07, 2011, 11:58:19 AM
GSP is under so much pressure to finish a fight, that if he catches Nick in a submission, he's not going to wait for Nick to tap.  GSP is going to rip his arm off and throw it into audience...

The only chance GSP has is if he stuns Diaz and finishes with a rear naked choke.  I don't see a sub happening against Diaz!

Quite a big "if" in that statement.

Fuck can you imagine how cool that would be?  He rips his arm off, beats him over the head with it and then throws it into the audience where they riot over it like a pack of wild hyenas.

Unfortunately, what will likely happen is a 5 round UD win for GSP...oh well.

GSP aint submitting Diaz. No chance in hell.

Hell dry hump him for 5 rounds like he has for every one of his fights for the past few years.

He's not gonna stand with Diaz and he' not gonna submit him. Nicks weakness as everyone knows is his wrestling and GSP is gonna use that to his advantage. Its a pretty ez fight to forecast.

GSP has been dry humping everyone of his fights for the past few years ???  Have you actually been watching them?  He hardly went to the ground with with KOS.  He won that fight by jabbing his eye into oblivion.  How about his last fight against Jake Shields.  How many times did that go to the ground? How about his decimation of the true #2 welterweight, Jon Fitch?  Not much time on the ground in that one either.  Seriously, you should make an effort to actually have some idea of what you're talking about before blabbering a bunch of nonsense.

BTW, Nick has weak KO power.  Of his 26 wins, NONE are KOs...lol.  I guarantee that GSP will stand with him and show him that MMA is not just abut playing patty cake boxing.  GSP will light him up with punches, kicks, knees & elbows before taking him down and G&Ping his ass.

St.Pierre has been playing it safe since he was KTFO by The Great Matt Serra  ::)

GSP hasnt had an exciting fight since god knows when.  GSP's only advantage over Diaz is his wrestling and his size and strength. So he's going to use this to his advantage.

GSP does not want to stand up with Nick Diaz. And why dont you research some Nick Diaz fights before you bad mouth him and blabber a bunch of nonsense. 13 of his wins are by tko to strikes or the corner throwing the towel in due to those pitter patter punches......Those "patty cake" shots as you say do add up. Did you see BJ's face last weekend??

GSP will get tagged a few times with Nicks accurate boxing skills and take Diaz down. And Nicks BJJ is worlds better then St.Pierre's so he'll play it safe and just lay on him.

Heres a vid of gsp vs kos 1:

http://video.sina.com.cn/v/b/7526209-1153244620.html
It takes George about 45 sec to take Kos down in the 1st round and less time then that in that 2nd rd. And he didnt do much on top in either. And he just lays on top of him the last 2 min of the 3rd round doing pretty much not doing any damage at all.

Heres another vid of gsp vs. bj penn

He tries to take him down and hump him in the 1st rd but gets his attempts stuffed. Then the 2nd rd he succeeds and lays on him. Then in the 3rd he does the same........You get the idea

Guess your getting old and your memory isnt quite as good as you think.

LOL...nice try.  Good thing we have the ability to quote EXACTLY what you said and what I responded to:

Hell dry hump him for 5 rounds like he has for every one of his fights for the past few years.

So, once again, GSP has not been "dry humping" his opponents for 5 rounds for every one of fights in the last few years.  How could he have broken Josh Koshchek's orbital bone if all he did was "dry hump"?  How could he have finished BJ Penn if all he did was "dry hump"?  How could he have finished Matt Serra if all he did was "dry hump"?  How could he hade make Jon Fitch's face look like hamburger meat if all he did was "dry hump"?  How could he have put Dan Hardy in multiple submission attempts if all he did was "dry hump"?

As for Nick Diaz, I'll say it again.  Of his 26 wins, not a single one is by KO (you know the difference between KO and TKO right?).  What this means is that he has NO SINGLE PUNCH KO POWER.  That is why GSP will not be afraid to use his superior stand up to mix it up with him.  Is GSP only going to stand and bang?  Obviously not.  He is a complete mixed martial artist and he will have a solid game plan in place that will surely utilize his wrestling to dictate where he wants the fight.

Hope that helps...

I think you know what I meant about the dry humping comment. I dont think ive seen a fight where someone just lays on top of someone else for 5 rounds. Dont take me so literally. GSP is a very safe fighter who doesnt fight to entertain the crowd. He fights a to win. Which is fine but I cant remember the last time GSP had an exciting fight. He plays it smart and exposes his opponents weakness. Hell, I cant fault him for that. Its just not going to be exciting. Thats all Im saying.

And I seriously doubt he's going to stand with diaz. Like I said before. Nick might not possess one punch KO power ( not many do ) but he has by far the better boxing skills of the two fighters. And St.Pierre wont stand up with him. Mark my words.

Also Ill say it again. The only advantage that GSP has over Diaz is his size and wrestling. Diaz bjj is better and his boxing is better. So  again that is the reason I said he'll dry hump him for 5 rounds. Dont take that literally. But he's going to take him down and keep him there as long as he can.

Hope that helps.

Yes, Diaz might have better boxing and BJJ.  But, this is neither a boxing match or a BJJ grappling tournament. GSP blends all of the disciplines masterfully and I believe that with Nick, he will have to use all of his tools.  I expect to see GSP mixing it up all over the place i.e. punches, kicks, elbows on the feet, takedowns, G&P, back to the feet and back to the ground.  Nick will bring the best out of GSP.  This will be a good fight.

I hope your right. Because I dont think this is going to be to good of a fight.

I'd bet on Diaz submitting GSP before the other way around.  Nick Diaz has amazing ju-jitsu - better than GSP
