Working out shirtless in the gym is gayer than spreading pedigree Chum on your starfish, then going to sleep in an Animal shelter.

That would kill my lower back..............why not just hold a plate at your chest?
Personally,the only exercise I use weight on when training abs is pulley crunches.

but now i do a lots hanging legs-raise.

Looking good MC......I also like hanging leg raises......great exercise and very tough for most people.

the gymnast instructor we had always told us to use the roman chair for upper and lower abs to save from lower back issues

try the negtive reps of leg-raise like i do in this video.

I used to do that on lying leg raises years ago......had someone push my legs down......hurts like Hell. :(

I bought one of those ab wheels that have been around forever. The first time I used it my abs were incredibly sore for a long time. It sold me on the movement. The abs have a really short range of motion. Sometimes I think the visual abs function as a stabilizer for the hip flexors and nothing more.
So planks, ab wheel, pulley crunches, and even push ups are really good movements for abs. Situps and leg raises train the abs but try the cheap ab wheel. Do it from the knees and as you advance from the ass up push up position to extension if you're good.

Always bring your hip pelvis(not just the legs) to ribcage,when you doing leg-raise.

You could say that after doing heavy legg press the squating feels more natural and comfortable.
with ab wheel the second set is actually when your body is warmed up enough to feel comfortable. I try to do 100+ reps on my knees before doing ab wheel from standing position to avoid spine pain.
Maby if i can get 200 reps on my knees with ab wheel I can do them from standing position right off the bat.
