Title: best seats for a concert? close but on the side or....?

hey everyone... can't make up my mind on what are the best concert seats for a arena that fits around 15 to 20 thousand? what i mean is seats closer to the stage but on the side or seats straight on from the stage but farther back?.... (when i say farther back i'm talking off the floor and about the length of a hockey rink)....

any thoughts?

On the side, the volume can be beyond deafening.

On the side and off the floor.....just my preference.
