Title: Daytona 500

20 years ago, I lived for almost a year on Daytona Beach Shores, right on the ocean.  I went there on holiday and then worked to stay.  They gave me a job at the motel we'd driven up to so I stayed.  I didn't wear shoes for almost a year.  I was very young.  I loved it.

During February all you could hear was the roar of the race track.  Even the ocean was drowned out, you couldn't hear it for the race cars.

I will never ever forget the sound of the 24-hour loud roar of that racetrack.  xL
