Most of the morons on this board have not even stepped on stage and competed in a regulated competition... But yet, all these "experts" on here "think" they know about bodybuilding?? That's like saying I could be a Nascar driver but have never driven a car before... I read some of the remarks on this board and it makes me laugh... I wonder what some of the idiots on this board really look like.. Probably a little pencil neck nerd behind a computer with fake pictures found on Google... What a fucking joke... >:(

I'd say this board is made up of 90% twinks 10% people who lift regularly and look good. After 17 years of consistent training i'd say i'm part of the 10%.

Working out to be strong and muscular have nothing to do with stepping on a fucking stage. If that's what you choose to do so be it. Most that workout are not bodybuilders as want to compete.

I believe you can learn a hellava lot more about your own bodies capacity and mental strength through the process of competing. The cosmetic side tanning,shaving etc I admittedly could do without...If you don't want to compete that's cool but don't bash it. Having a solid goal like competing and getting shredded & dry while holding as much muscle as possible, will push you harder to learn than just trying to look good for the beach. Maybe it's not your thing and I respect that. But process of serious competitive BB to me is fucking hard-core, an extreme discipline, there's nothing sexual about it to me at all! The guys you see nowadays who gyrate around in glittering thongs like strippers are an embarrassment. Sure you get some dodgy people & odd people in bodybuilding that make bad moral choices (G4P etc.). They just have a distorted view of what it's all about.
Don't paint all serious bodybuilding competitors with the same brush.

Yes sir.
I am one of those "gay" dudes that goes to your local, state and national shows in support of the competitors. Last year alone, I sponsored over 8 national NPC competitors in preparing for their shows. My funding provides these men with the resources needed to purchase their supplements, gym memberships, food and, for some, even pay for their rent.
This is a tough industry to find yourself in without any form of sponsorship. Eating out of tupperware in the middle of your work day can be physically demanding and embarrassing for some, but imagine if you did not have to subject yourself to such demeaning acts and instead can eat out of the hands of a loving, nurturing and encouraging sponsor.
I'm in full support of this wonderful sport, as you should be as well..

One competitor was #1 in the NPC for physique and I found him and helped him get there... I believe in giving back because I was given so much... You speak from experience, but yet, you have never done a show... It's different going to an NFL game and watching from the stands, then it is getting hit every play... Thats all I was writing here... I have stayed quiet all these years on Getbig, and I just had to bring up this topic... as been on my mind for a while...

Did I get it right...born in 1981? I've thought about the shows but they really are too gay for me. Too many men coming up to me and asking me to pose for them makes me rather uncomfortable. And I've encountered this at the beach and backstage at a friends bodybuilding shows. I've done Highland games and powerlifting events which were really fun and no gayness. I just can't be that "big" all the time and to be honest son, it hurts my joints. So, right now, I could get on the sauce, melanotan myself, oil my body and slip into a thong but that really isn't my style.

This place makes me laugh and is an endless source of entertainment. I think the majority of posters on this board are teens and twenty somethings living at home. A lot of guys here juice yet want credit for their physique when they look like crap off the juice. Many look to govermnent to take care of them in some way. Most would rather collect unemployment rather than taking a job. They are waiting for a career job to fall in their lap.
