Yeah massive arms on Phil but look silly on his body making his chest and shoulders appear smaller than they really are due to overly massive arms. Each to their own but to me his arms being that size take away from the flow of a competition ready physique.

There are tons of guys with much better arms. WHat most people dont understand is that NO bodypart is on its own. Everything is judged as a package so good arms mean they are good in proportion to other bodyparts and to the whole.
So little Phil is nowhere near good let alone best. And Arnold is the best hands down, no contest

I think all the 0 symmetry mass monsters with 45 inch waists dont really count as bodybuilders but as massbuilders.

Not even close. I used to be amazed by Matarazzo's arms, but then I realized, he had very little detail. And in that FDB shot, he lacks that split between bis and tris.. He just had big arms.

ronnies peak where great but he had high triceps and not very developed from the sides.
Phil has it but in the fdb his biceps look good but not amazing.
As far as overall arms i will give it to Lee Priest, great, peaks, crazy tris and huge forearms.

Best Arms Ever in all of Bodybuilding History
Sergio Oliva's. No one else comes even close. In terms of mass there have been bigger, but when you factor in shape, detail, symmetry between biceps, triceps, brachialis and forearm, Sergio's were the best ever.
Another guy with outstading arms was Marcus Savolainen.
Other guys have serious problems with their arms. For instance, Arnold had a serious discrepancy between in his arms because his biceps completely outsized his triceps. Ernie Taylor's triceps seriously outsized his biceps, and Lou's forearm ws shitty compared to his biceps and triceps.

For me I I is about arm illusion I have seen with 17 inches but due to shape the look like 19,a most of the guys have small chests and are narrow so it makes thee arm looks even bigger ... Which is why Heath to good arms but not the greatest ...

Phil curls with some heavy weight, especially with the barbells. If you look at his vids, he standing-alternating curls with some good weight, but when he does the seated incline curls he uses lesser weight...
He puts some work into it.

For me it comes down to Heath and Coleman
and it could go either way.
Heath has the roundest muscles ever in Pro BB
whereas in actual size Ronnie has bigger denser arms.
The one thing that would give the edge to Ronnie for
me is that he has (more peaks and valleys to his arms,
this is including delts.) I wouldn't have a problem if someone
chose Heat though. Anyone else, I don't see it.

Just for the fact Marko is blatantly using site injections in his delts makes
me right away suspicious if those biceps don't have some oil based
help..(not synthol necessarily). Many use and it is undetectable if done right.
Probably had great bis right from the beginning but if he did use oil it is done
correctly. Too bad not so good on the delt..very obvious.

Just a little off topic here but there are a few bodybuilders
that seem to have 3 distinct heads to their biceps.
Kind of like a tricep for a bicep. There are four guys I've seen have
this and I can't remember the 4th guy. I 1st noticed this in the 2004
Mr. Olympia press conference posing pics. Also it seems like
it is only with one arm.
Here in pictures is what I'm referring too.
Check out Ronnie's left bicep and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Matt had good arms at one time, then he started getting desperate, couldn't win his Pro card, started losing his hair and hanging/training with that Blonde dude that died---Trevor, Trevor apparently had a SEO that he was selling, next thing you know Matt's arms were looking stupid big, but his forearms remained the same. He won his Pro card, I believe, but he looked worse than yrs past.
I had a lot of respect for Matt, until he went that route---I always thought he looked better than his friend Jason Arntz.

im not sure the year, think it was 94 or 95, matt was in kempers mr new jersey contest in cranford high school. matt came out on stage and everyone was freaked out about how big his arms where, craig richards was in that same show and he looked insane also. i think craig was still a teenager then to boot :o
