I'm not a big Romney fan, and I've never fully understood this argument against big oil, it's seems a little assbackward to me, but one thing is for certain, the anti-big oil ideology sure isn't working.
And holy crap, the comments baching Romney's wealth, I don't understand that at all. Romney represents the best of America when it comes to wealth and what is possible...sure, most won't achieve it, but it's there.

But before you blame obama for it - look at the average CEO pay going up 55 PERCENT IN ONE YEAR.
Of course profits are going to drop when you take that $ from shareholders and give it to mgmt. what a huge increase for a single year.

But they TRIPLED their CEO's pay during this same span.
I don't see that as "almost no profit". To me, it looks like they have some nice profits. They just like to triple CEO pay in one year ;)

"CEO pay" is a number without a context...did he earn a bonus based on company performance that vested in a given year....was he paid in stock...options...what is his base pay? There are a number of variables that need to be accounted for...

It's a direct correlation. If the government continues to keep raising minimum wage it kills small business by having them raise prices on products, in turn the higher prices (depending on the product or service) will drive away business, force layoffs and eventually drive them out of business. I'm all for people making a living wage but when the government forces a certain minimum set amount that kills business, it's not right.

There is a line that is crossed between overcharging and just plain deceiving, false promises, and over profiting.

So many poor republicans support policies that harm them simply because they think one day they might receive the benefits if they become wealthy but in reality very few ever will. Maybe I'm the minority because I don't desire to be super rich because I feel that once you are rich you are rich, but that's just a value I have. Like I tell my friends I have pretty much nothing but have everything I want. But back to min wage 25 is a lot, I think it should be enough for a person to live off of frugally. I know I wouldn't want to live off of 8.50 an hour.
