usually vegetarians know better than to take a bunch of harsh drugs sacrifice their health, though you can never count them out

It must be his preference, I wouldn't imagine him to be health cautious.

That is a horrible example of a vegetarian becoming a pro cause he would get destroyed in the NPC

Only vegetarians with gyno can....

Seriously: it takes some calculating, but a vegetarian or even a strict vegan diet can be just as succesful as one with animal protein. Your body's just concerned with amino acids.

Either you're being sarcastic or you need to provide image proof to back up this statement. NPC lineups are deplorable in the men's categories if your rating on our normal bb'ing parameters!

Have no idea what you just said,.. regardless what you think, the NPC sets the standard, a damn high standard for successful bodybuilders, when is the last time you saw someone win there pro debut coming from another organization. I have seen this particular bodybuilder compete in person before and if that`s the best you can look as a vegetarian then not that good considering this guy wouldn`t crack top 6 at an NPC Pro qualifier

You're right, its the only route to go to get to the next level, but I asked to provide picture evidence of a recent lineup in any recent NPC contest where this guy would get blown away. I'm saying, from what I've seen, the lineups are terrible and if compared to those of even 10 years ago, you'd be comparing apples to oranges, imo.

Hey Dr., a friend of mine, who is also a Dr. and he also lifts weights (and he juices lol), told me that protein in vegetal cells are *glycosylated with cellulose, and because we humans don't have the necessary enzyme to digest cellulose, protein from vegetals is not a good choice. What's your opinion? ???

*: "glucosidada" in spanish, I'm not sure if that's the correct translation

not all vegetable proteins are bound within cellulose, would be my response. people survive lifetimes without meat. What would be your dr. friends response to that?

He didn't say it's useless, he said the body can't assimilate it as good as it does with animal protein

Chris Cormier was training him at Venice Beach not long ago. Told him to take up meat and fish, otherwise he is relegated to second tier status.

That's as good as it gets, it seems. Being vegetarian certainly has its drawbacks.

Ghuman swears offs eggs, fish, and any type of meat.

Though, If he eats dairy, then he is not a vegan.

There are many kinds of vegetarianism.

Lacto-ovo vegetarian - Eats dairy. Eats eggs. No meat of any kind.
Ovo vegetarian - Eats eggs. No dairy of any kind. No meat of any kind.
Lacto vegetarian - Eats dairy. No eggs. No meat of any kind.
Vegan vegetarian - Strictest form of vegetarianism. Only fruits, vegetables, whole grains (nothing processed), seeds, nuts and legumes.

Also, let us remember that Pearl was pretty much done competing when he went vegetarian.

And he is a Lacto-ovo vegetarian. I have articles with him talking about it.

The two I think of are Steve Brisbois and Andreas Cahling.

Steve is said to be a nice guy, but let’s be honest, he is a 5’3” dwarf.

Cahling won Mr. International once, but his physique was nothing to write home about.

Agreed.

You have to eat a lot of beans, tofu (soybean curd), and nut butters (almond butter, peanut butter, etc.) to get the protein.

He's Lacto vegetarian.

Without the eggs, it makes it all that much harder to get protein from real food.

Being a vegetarian myself (no meats of any kind, no fish), i find eggs go a long way. I can just live on the eggs, it's more than sufficient for protein needs + the food i eat anyways, and on top supplemental protein, if i find i am falling short.

I hear what you're saying, Randy.

But the more fanatical ones (vegans) would consider your eating of eggs to still be eating animal products.

They wouldn't consider you to be vegetarian unless you were strict vegan.

Vegetarianism is for lesser beast than man.

I'd drink my protein straight from the tap before i'd rely on pea protein and humus for my aminos.
