Title: How much does an AI hinder your gains?
Post by: Alessandro Emelianenko on May 08, 2012, 08:51:00 PM
Hey guys, I just started 500 mg of test e (250 mg twice a week) on a 12+ week cycle and have been eating pretty clean so far. I've got arimidex on hand in case of gyno and my question was, if I started taking .25  or .5 mg EOD for a few weeks to help further lean out, how much would that hinder my gains?

keeping estrogen under control is important. I'd be on a low dose from the start.

As long as you don't completely annihilate your estrogen levels, it won't hinder your gains. Estrogen is not an anabolic hormone, so having a lower-than-average amount won't hinder your gains.

Appreciate the response

I just started on Sunday so I'll probably wait a week or so before hopping on it.

I don't think it will affect lean mass gains unless you absolutely crush estro levels. An AI to keep the bloat off shouldn't hurt gains, and hasn't in my experience.
I've noticed some people like to include the 20lbs of water they gain from D-bol to be part of their 'gains', so obviously it will affect them to run an AI since scale
weight will be lower.
