Actually he did. Back in the mid 90's....before most of you trolls were born or at least getting your diaper changed and sucking on your mother's nipple, if you wanted to get the latest in bodybuilding gossip, you either went to Ron's website or you went to George Spellwin's site (Elite Fitness). In fact, both websites actually were built on similar designs as well and there were no actual forum software around...at least good forum software and most people communicated on the NewsGroups at alt.bodybuilding.
I've had my difference with Ron over the years along with George Spellwin for that Dino shit that he pulled with those ebooks but they both built their sites from the ground up and made it to what they were.....and websites at the time while simplistic compared to today required people to build them using HTML coding...and that was not fun....took a good amount of time to make changes or updates.
Ron didn't have a forum until at least 1999....if you can call it that and Muscle Mayhem got the jump on the forum business in 2001....so Getbig was already around for 4 years anyway....so no....nobody here other than Ron was responsible for the success of it.
Also consider this....bandwidth cost a lot of money even today....it was a lot more expensive 10 years ago. So even with the money Ron may be making today, I seriously doubt that he's recouped the amount of money he's put into this site

Lets add an average 5 minute waiting time between posts which might be a bit more realistic instead of 32 seconds:

He's been a member of this board for just about 6 years which gives us the average time he spends actively posting every five minutes on this discussion forum:
