Well, so far, it's his first win after 4 fights (record of 1-3).  I would give him a little more time before we make any guesses as to how far he can go.

Back in 2010, he lost via TKO to Kester Mumba during the second round.

In 2011, he lost to Dave Rintoul via armbar in the first round.

Also, back in May 2012, he lost to Jacek Kaminski via TKO in the first round.

Here he is versus Jacek:

He is still a pretty young guy and has yet to fight for any major organizations, but I never say never and he could always pick up and join a solid fight team and make it big over time.

There actually isn't a wiki entry on Umer Kayani, as he is not that popular of a fighter nor involved with pro-level fighting (at least at the level of strikeforce or UFC).

Those stats are straight from sherdog.  Prior to Darren mentioning him, I had never heard of the guy.  Unless he is a former pride, K1, strike force or UFC guy, odds of me knowing him are slim.

That said, he has potential, but we would need to see a few more wins under his belt.

Yes.

I hold a brown belt from Renzo Gracie in BJJ and also have been boxing (not professionally) since the age of 14 (I'm 47 now).

I am mainly an avid fan of the sport (MMA) that enjoys sparring on occasion in order to improve my own performance.

Of course.

I was a product of the 70's and 80's.  George was (and still is in my opinion) a classic.
