When people who may spend all day watching tv maybe have other bad habits that contribute to their shortened life span. Really hard to say its just one causal factor.

Their assessment is clearly dependent on what you do with the other 23 hours of your day. If you are very active then it is bs.

Thread title is misleading - I would have thought watching an hour of TV robs you of an hour of your life, not 22mins, especially if you're stupid enough to sit through a crap programme for an hour.
