Title: High Intensity Vs. Volume Training Poll
Post by: Roger Bacon on October 26, 2012, 09:38:08 PM
Overall, other factors ignored.  Which method is most effective generally for putting on Muscle Mass (assuming you're a natural).

Sorry to beat this to death  :-[

There is no better system .. use both a bit of volume and throw in intensity techniques now and again to shake it up. You can stimulate muscle with less sets and Heavy duty training but your body will suffer in the long run with this causing a Heavy duty Burn out...and sore joints. Alternate both and see what works for YOUR body, not anyone elses on here...only YOU will know and feel it. some swear by HIT training and others go for high volume but like we say.."there is more than one way to climb a mountain"

I also vote for both.
You want the fibers torn but also the muscle saturated with "nutrients"... god I sound like Felix magazine.

Add to that a progression scheme and it should work for everybody juiced or not.
Only perform over the old high minimally to avoid physical and mental burn out.

Thanks guys!

It's funny but the poll reflects exactly what you're saying.  It's a tie  ;D

Ive had good success with both

when I was young I did a little more high volume, short rests and made great progress.

When I got a little older I went for the low volume/heavy weight and made alot of progress as well.

All in all if youre looking for size I think the low volume/heavy weight is best but to each his own and you maybe different. For what its worth I think the high volume/lower weight is also alot easier on your body

That's pretty much my opinion too, but I see what you guys are saying about volume.

I started Max-OT again, after a few months of volume.

Fucking bad ass
