The Los Angeles Lakers have fired head coach Mike Brown after a disappointing 1-4 start to the season, according to multiple reports.
This was Brown's second season in LA. The Lakers finished with a 41-25 record last season.
Reports started to swirl on Friday morning that if the Lakers didn't perform well during their upcoming six-game homestand, that Brown's job would be in jeopardy. Turns out, it already was.
Brown, who previously coached the Cleveland Cavaliers for five seasons, replaced Phil Jackson when the legendary coach retired.

Come on bro. I'm no Laker Fan (Spur Fan here) but Mike Brown is not the coach for that team. I'm interested in whom they'll get now. Has to be a big name otherwise you may as well put Kobe in a suit and have him coach.

Kobe cant work with any coach, hence why Phil Retired and called Kobe "UNCOACHABLE"

How has not once committed to staying with the Lakers beyond this year. He talks like it is a stop for somewher else. In the end he will probably sign with Dallas next season.
Brown was useless as a coach. They are talking about Mike Dantoni which doesn't make sense at all. Lakers need to offer Coach K $20 mill a year and pry him from Duke.
Brown will still make over $12 mill and get $4 mill for this year and $4 more for next year. Must be nice.
