Try 1-year...and the data for only $10 is ok.  I also got them to issue me a credit for activation, shipping, and next 4-mos of data (amounts to $70 credit).

I use the iPhone even though it's a bit homoerotic.

They were tight lipped about the iPhone being on sale...am kind of tempted.  I have the Samsung Epic and it is near the end.  Microphone not working, bluetooth drops often, recharging jack is spotty, and now the headphone jack is getting worn out.

Yes I agree.  I've never really used any other "Smart" "Phones" but I have no issues with it at all.

Some people claim the Samsung Galaxy M16 or whatever is better but they mostly seem to be the type of people that think "jailbreaking" your phone is really cool and necessary.

S3 is on par.  I use the iPhone, but the S3 captured the missing smoothness that only iOS had previously provided.  It's now just about which unique features the user prefers.

I am tempted by the IP5 but not until they sort the maps issue out. It's one of the most important features for me.

Exactly.  Pulling google maps was the worst move they could ever pull.  I'm going with an android phone next upgrade, I'm kind of over the iPhone.

When it launched it had some bugs and wasn't very accurate.  Supposedly it's gotten better since release (I haven't used it much).

excellent, except for the fact that it doesn't support flash, so you have to use the video player. the nice big screen helps. very hi def.

You can use the free mapquest app in the interim.
