I don't know/remember the details of the DMX incident, but I know the rapper has criticized Seagal in interviews.
When asked about it, Connery seemed to have been half-joking when he said he must have angered Seagal at the time. Supposedly, Sean didn't even realize his wrist was actually broken until several years later, mistaking it for a sprain or "general pain."

It sounds like Seagal developed a healthy ego once he started working on movies. Supposedly, he once was bragging to a bunch of people on set that no one could choke him out. Gene LeBell was also working on that set and took up Seagal on the challenge.
LeBell allegedly not only succeeded, but withstood several of Seagal's ball-shots in the process, and caused the future action star to piss himself on the ground.
I don't know how much of that is true/accurate, but that is a common version of the story.

But he is also a HIGHLY accomplished martial artist.
People forget that before he made films he was I believe the highest ranking western aikido practitioner in the world, and one of the top practitioners in Japan.

By chance did you see the Michael "The Voice" Schiavello interview with Seagal two weeks ago? One hour interview. A really good and insane interview. Seagal NEVER sits for long interviews.

I'm hardly casting judgment based on a recreational coke habit, but he was on a far different level than most. My point was I wouldn't equate any heavy duty drug addict with the term "real man," and self-discipline is the essence of martial arts, and he had none. Always seems like a decent guy in interviews, and supposedly he's turned things around. "JVCD" was an interesting flick.

yes this was a long time ago .. maybe 82 /83 i think.. i was about 14 i think. was funny because at the time i was into Punk rock and had my hair spiked up had drainpipe jeans and a ww2 combat jacket on. Used to go up there to earn money at Gleneagles itīs a very famouse Golf course. I remember getting told you wonīt get jobs looking like that...but i always did. Some of the best payers were American and Japanese Golfers. Remember going round with some Americans and they were funny..i was carrying a bag with 2 other guys (caddying). the guy i was caddying for was drinking and gave me beer and cigarettes on the way round(used to smoke) remember we passed female golfers and he was remarking about her tight ass..lol He was an ok guy and i got paid well.

with regards to his looks at the comments here, connery is an old school guy and women like more than his looks. He has a rugged appeal and something all these sun brown 6 pack boys of today donīt have "CHARISMA"...charm. Women feel when a man has it. Itīs from nature...you got or you aint... ;) sean Connery has it. Do you see him getting fucking hair plugs?? Ok he wore in a couple of film roles a hair piece but only for the character. Bruce willis has also a rugged appeal or an old actor Charles Bronson.

yes i mean i have heard from women before "oh yeah he had great Abs and Body but was in love with himself and a Dick" or "was boring with him after a couple of weeks" talking about ex Boyfriends. When i was learning in College/school in Hannover i remember one pussy in my class. Brown face,hair styled, GLITZER BELT BUCKLE...fucking as hard as my first shit ! Thought he was the cool Fitness trainer in his Gym. zero character as a MAN. His mate next to him was also pussy looking. Gave me the eye ball a few times and did consider slapping them. Went into the toilets one time and they were both in there and i think wanted to try their luck.. well i thought Xmas had come early and was ready for a fight. wrapped the leather belt i was wearing round my knuckles(no Glitzer buckel..LOL). They did not have the balls to do it, all pretty boy looks but no character as a man. After that they were broken phycologically...sometim es you do not need to throw a punch. Guys like Connery project manliness and women do feel this. Itīs got nothing to do with being Rambo or a He man..just a good old fashioned MAN. Nothing to do with looks. OK Hollywood need good looking guys too but still charles Bronson was rugged as they come with a great body. Bronson was as an actor like Chuck Sypes was in the Bodybuilding world.
