Florida, always embarassing us.
I know - I live here now... I feel it everywhere I go!!
Seth Myers did a clip last weekend that was awesome talking just about Florida and what it does to America lol
here is one from a while back though:
-
Can we say no shit.
-
Had he survived, he would have won an ivory ball python...
-
Sad story, wasting his life for the reward of an ivory ball python.
Why couldn't he have removed the legs etc?
What a waste, we could have used his abled body as a soldier against the dark ones during the apocalypse.
-
cockroaches starting to show thier dominance over supposedly technically superior humans

I think the lowly praying Mantis doesn't even eat the legs...As a kid i used to catch them and feed them crickets, and they never ate the legs---chewed them off. I guess vey little meat, plus they are encased in harder exoskeleton.
-
From this point forward, my junk will be referred to as "Ivory Balled Python"

Well, hopefully you feed the snake more than once every two weeks...

Yeah, those harder exos you see on some bugs, roaches and beetles sound like a bitch to swallow and digest.
If he had just removed those "harder" parts he might've still be alive now! What a waste.
A soldier dying during a war, a policeman dying on duty etc is one thing, but dying during a roacheating cotest... what a pity and waste of life.

Well, he's hand-fed daily :-\

A sad case of the revenge of the roach..
Similar things have happened in Korea, where people try eating live octopus, and they stick to the esophagus walls with their suckers and choke the person.

I had a Korean girl friend once they eat some nasty shit like Kimchi which is basically rotten cabbage with cucumber, radish and who knows what else mixed together it stinks like rotten food thrown in a dumpster baking in the hot sun.
-
Sooo...the cockroach was originally confined for eating the paper on which the autopsy report was written?
-
Humanity will destroy itself without any alien interference it seems.

Darwinism.

This was also how I read it.

weren't these lab grown Roaches?.....any street roaches would have killed anyone. those carry all kinds of diseases.......Bugs like Cicada are tasty......8yrs ago, we had an invasion of Cicadas which come out every 17yrs. people were preparing them tastefully and I never thought they would taste like that, but I doubt I would be convinced to eat any other bugs
-
Is this just one freak incident or is there really a thing as "cochroach eating contests" in Fl ?
-
This is no time to rail against the sport of insect consumption at the elite level.
It's a legitimate sporting field. Sure, a few warriors succumb to the contest, but honestly, when you're an athlete pushing your body to its very limits...well, the razor's edge is a fine one my friend, and can cut quickly.
He died the way he lived...to the max. We should all be so lucky.
Would we tell race car drivers to drive slower? No. So why tell these elite athletes they can't continue in their chosen field.
One day his death will be glorified, and you'll all be sorry. You'll see. I heard ESPN8 (the ocho) is running a segment on him at 3 a.m. on Easter Sunday.

I remember that, I was living in dc at the time and remember just driving over thousands of them on the road and hearing them crunch under my tires. Also remember watching kids freak out when cicadas would crawl over them.
On to the main topic, there was is no other creature I hate more than fucking cockroaches. We get them down here in Florida and I get so pissed off every time I find one in our house! Shit is fucking Nasty!

But why is everyone so freaked out about eating roaches or at the mere site of them?
Lobsters are also technically roaches from the sea and folks eat those babies up, while paying ridiculous amounts of money for them.

I see these now and then outside some ugly mofos wonder if the guy ever ate one? I think they eat roaches so I let them go rather than stomping them.

roaches---quick moving, and dirty, they have a stigma to them. Even though, in evolutionary terms, they should be admired, as they are highly resilient, and very adaptable.
You are quite true about the lobsters and roaches, people who have shellfish allergies, are allergic to eating insects as well.

praying mantis' will damn near eat anything, I used to catch them as a kid and feed them all sorts of stuff.

I don't remember (and not fingering through my Parasitology books for these bitches) off hand the parasite, which is carried by roaches, especially cock, but it causes you to have mini-convulsions in your sleep. You usually contract it from those bastards chilling in your dry cereal :-X. Anyway, foolish Southern boy got a first class ticket to the after life.
