If you could create your own wrestler, what attributes would they have..
For me,
Build of the Ultimate Warrior
Charisma/Mic Skills of Scott Hall
Technical ability of Benoit....

Scott Hall? "Hey Yo" and then mumbling some incoherent drunk slurs. ;D

For pure imagery, no one came close!
He fit the "larger than life" ideal of that era.
If he'd had it up his ass to learn & improve, he could have had it all!

He had great matches with Savage and Rude which clearly tells you how good those two guys were to carry UW. They really sacrificed themselves to make him look good.
-
Physique: Kerry Von Erich or Lex Luger
Mic skills......Flair by a wide, wide, wide margin
Technical ability: Way too many to mention depending on style

Jim Hellwig's biggest problem was his stupid ego. He thought he was perfect from day-1, and never felt a need to pay his dues or improve. That's why he didn't last.
He could very easily have been the next Hogan. He had the precious looks that meant so much at that time. And, given the technical skills typical of that era of WWF, it's not like he'd have had much to learn as far as mat work and psychology. But, he refused to improve, and he thought he was worth much more than the company did.
WWF went on to explode in success.
Big Jim went on to produce vol. 3 of Ultimate Warrior comics.

Yeah... to me, technical ability is more than just impressive chain-wrestling or high-risk moves. Those things are nice, but they mean more when presented with proper timing, pacing, emotion, psychology, etc. That's what is meant by telling a story in the course of a match.
One of the greatest matches of the last 20 years to demonstrate this was HBK & Y2J's Mania encounter.
Masterful.
Steamboat, Flair, Hennig, and Savage top my list of all-time favorite all-around workers as far as looks, talking, and mat work.
