I think Homo-Sapiens have surpassed cockroaches as the toughest species on the planet. The Earth would literally have to explode to kill everyone. If we wait long enough, we will start to populate other planets. Will the human species last forever? Will we eventually go to another planet, and evolve into something else? Is that part of the cycle we are witnessing today? Was Mars a former Earth?
-
we will all die out eventually, nothing lasts forever.
-
man will be here for as long as the planet can sustain us.
-

We might be too intelligent to die out now. Even if there is a mass extinction event (like the dinosaurs) Humans are too resourceful to die out 100%.
-
It's not totally unreasonable that we'll eventually merge ourselves into computers and abandon our current physical form. We'll become nothing but information.
-
Humans are too resourceful to die out 100%.
Ya think?
We are stupid.
-

Which is part of my point. If Earth lasts long enough, we will start to colonize other planets. It won't matter what happens to Earth if we develope the tech to go somewhere else. Could this be Darwinism on a whole new level? Have we been planet hopping before? Are aliens really long-lost relatives, who have adapted to new environments for thousands of years?
-

Incorrect. We are a tiny, insignificant spec in the universe. To somehow think that we will be immortal as a species is incredibly arrogant IMHO.

i'm taking bets there are aliens out there with humans #1 on their extinction list. :-X

What does that matter? Unless the earth is obliterated, people will survive. We aren't far off from living on other planets. We can already survive on space stations.
-
the problem we have is that we are dependant on things like electricity and services, without them we would struggle to survive.
most people wouldnt last two minutes out of their comfort zone.

Wrong. Cocroaches will pretty much always be around, long after humans are gone.

Why? The only way humans could possibly become extinct, is a major atmospheric change. If we couldn't breathe oxygen, then most of us would die. Even then, the ruling elite across the world would probably have enough oxygen/masks to keep the species alive.

i think he means you answered your own question.
anyroad, nasa has already predicted huge solar flares for 2013. should give the end of the world cultist something to bang on about for the next fucking 12 months

Disease just to start.

please, all there needs to be is an incurable disease, that can wipe us out. Or widespread war, famine.
Or the poles melt, and the ocean levels rise, flooding costal cities---where most of humankind exists.
All types of earth changes can happen, and we can do nothing. It's been said that man has risen from the ashes before.
And let's not think "technology" can save us---without electricity to run them, and infrastructure to carry, create and disperse electricity and other goods, we are as good as gone. And combine that with the widespread drug addiction, you have total chaos.
I pick roaches over humans to survive anything.
-
The logical fear, is that through gene modification we simply are enhanced until were no longer human.
This might seem like some wacky science fiction, but all you have to do is look at the nfl/mlb, these people are all modified humans, just not at the genetic level ....YET!!!

Correct.
We adapt the surrounding environment to service us...
Roaches adapt to their environment.
Big difference.
-
Disease just to start.
Disease would never kill 100% of the population. The various plagues would like a word with you.
-
I think it will depend on if we can start populating other planets before we turn this one becomes inhabitable at a pace that evolution can't keep up with.
-
Disease would never kill 100% of the population. The various plagues would like a word with you.
Never had a population as interconnected as we do now either.
And diseases are constantly evolving. Just because it hasn't happened to us before, doesn't mean that it wont happen. But thats besides the point.
Anything that could effect our food supply could kill us off.
Not that it matters, you have it in your head that Humanity has somehow bested nature because we can make tools, which simply is not the case.
-
There was a large asteroid scheduled to strike us sometime in the near future but NASA is confident now that it will miss.

yes but none of that will make us extinct. thin us out a bit, which may not be a bad idea actually

Aids? Cancer? we have beat those. Flooding won't kill everyone. Man has lived without electricity before, and man has lived with total chaos before. Anything but total annihilation of the earth, wouldn't kill us off.

Exactly Brad. Disease, famine, and war are designed to thin out a population. They are necessary evils. Without diseases, the population would swell beyond control.

I suspect the world will shoot itself in its collective face eventually :)

Although mankind certainly ranks high, bacteria is unquestionably the most dominant life form on earth.
-
would we fuck. we'd adapt.
unless something absolutely catastrophic happens, we aint going nowhere.
In a few years, give or take a million or so, the sun will go supernova and destroy everything and everyone on earth.
However we might have spread like a virus to other planets by then.
-

surely, you jest that we have Cancer beaten. And there are always new forms of viruses and bacteria forming each day, and those that have become resistant to medications.
I don't think that we will totally be wiped out, but there is always a chance that we can be severely decimated.
Has man lived without electricity, with this amount of population? With this amount of drug addiction, greed, lack of leadership thru-out the world, and division? It's not just the electricity, it's a combination of things...there is no one thing that will get us.
-

i'd say that was a certainty by then.

I don't believe that disease will kill us all off. We already live deep underground. And I'd bet the house that there are clean rooms bigger than football fields down there in every 1st world country. Lets not forget what they are doing with nano technology these days.

Beaten Cancer?
When?

There are enough nuclear weapons to wipe out the US, Russia, China and all of Europe and Asia. Pockets of man will survive in Africa and maybe Australia.

They talk about the radiation life but look at the cities in Japan. They are completely rebuilt and populated.
-
As already mentioned, nothing lasts forever but I see the human race dying out long after we have populated other planets

Just read a report about a town in Massachusetts that banned plastic water bottles. They claim its for landfill purposes but the fact is they want people to drink more tap water. I wonder what their putting in the tap water? I wouldn't drink there tap water if they paid me. This has depopulation agenda written all over it.

The huge influx of homosex and penispuffers will eventually kill the species.
-
Billionaire is building 72 thousand sq. foot house in OZARK, MISSOURI. Whats interesting about the house is that its built on top of massive underground cities. Another interesting thing is that these cities are located in OZARK...Think Wizard of OZ meets Noah's Ark. This isn't a coincidence people. This massive fortress will be the meeting place of the elite bloodlines who will control the earth now and after their false flag Apocalypse. This shit is legit.
-
When the sun goes boom all that you know will be finished.
-

That is a depopulation tactic for sure. It's being pushed in the media today.

They must be like tv villains, very long monologues.

Japanese are believed to not be Asian but a off breed of grey Alien. The Hierarchy made a deal with the Aliens to rule the world the way the Aliens see fit. The Hierarchy gets to control the world while the Aliens do their research. However, it is the Aliens who are in total control of the globe.

Beaten Cancer?
When?
What I mean is that Aids and most cancers are no longer death sentences anymore.

Let's hope so.
But I fear we might one day spread to stars and contaminate the rest of the universe like a cancer.

Hopefully.

Wrong. Cocroaches will pretty much always be around, long after humans are gone.
Cockroaches cant travel in space and probably never will. On earth tho. Humans one day will be able to flee earth if needed.

So you consider yourself a cancer? why dont you kill yourself then, if you think you re an illness ? You re a product of life, just like everything that exists. As long as you dont destroy it, you re not a threat to it.
-
-
well the sun is going to 'die' in a billion or so years, so theres that.

Humans are guided by greed and the intent to control and subjugate.
As Freud says all people are 'filth', this coming from someone who dedicated his life to studying them.
We are the worst animals on this planet.

Freud also said “America is a mistake, a giant mistake." Humans may be capable of great evil, but they are also capable of great compassion and charity. Humans are the most complex animal on the planet, and not easily defined, Freud may have studied humans, but that doesn't mean much, because of our complexity and resistance to being studied and understood, even the smartest amongst us doesn't have too many clues when it comes to pigeon holing and defining the human race.

I will stick with Freud's views....

Never happen. Maybe we get to mars in the next 25 years but then what? Place is uninhabitable, can't see man building any colony there, expense is far too great. There is nothing in this solar system. Closest star is 4.2 light years. Our fastest ships would take 60 THOUSAND YEARS to get there. We ain't going nowhere. Get use to it.

maybe

Get yourself some magic mushrooms, you dont need a space ship at all.

stargates, wormholes, would make it like riding a horse vs taking an Iron Horse.

Good post.

just like any lifeform in the universe: every single life form is guided by its need to survive facing competition. Animals, plants, everything that is alive fights for its survival at the expense of other lifeforms survival if needed, and only have the choice to either dominate, subdue, cooperate or flee.
-
Freud was a nut job that should have been on the couch instead of the chair.
I think Freud was a pretty big nutjob, also liked the drugs a bit too! He also loved the cigars, and later in his life was diagnosed with cancer of the jaw. He staunchly refused to give up, and at times it was so painful to hold the cigar in his mouth, he placed a little wedge in there so he didn't have to worry about keeping his mouth open and could still smoke the cigar. His famous quote of "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar" was a response to a patient who asked him what the cigar meant, as Freud was adamant that almost every behaviour held meaning, and was obsessed with symbols, especially phallic ones. Me thinketh the cigar represented a mans penis. ;D JMO

I know he liked cocaine and I think this helped him write better from his unconscious mind haha
Either way, Freud is a genius. I'm enjoying reading his work, he has a sneaky sense of humour as well :)

Yes, but we care capable of reason as well.
And wiping everything else out will kill us off, not very smart. The main motivation here is greed and the ego.
Animals don't try and destroy everything else, they use what they need to survive.

when the sun burns out it will expand and burn all planets around it
probably pluto will remain spinning by itself
at least that's what they said on tv

Don't get me wrong, I think Freud is very interesting character, but like most geniuses had a hint of madness to him as well. A little madness had never bothered me! :D
