Good find, a great mind at once still has valid BB HIT principles published. His dad died, his girlfriend left and he lost the Mr O 1980 all pretty much at once so went a bit crazy at one time.

The three mustache amigos hahaha.... Mentzer looks hyoooge. Sick physique. Once I saw mentzer for the first time I thought to myself, the better arnold.

a greater chest for mike and a bit more back but too late . arnold was taller had a broader effect .

ray mentzer actually had better lines and symmetry for bodybuilding than mike did

Not exactly, I think he had his breakdown a few years after 1980. His dad died, his girlfriend left him and on top of that his bodybuilding magazine went under... all in the same year. With his long term addiction to amphetamines, it didn't take any more to push him over the edge.

There was a great interview in bb.com where he discussed these things... they took it down a few years ago.
