so Ubereem landed 13 shots in the #1 without beeing touched by BIGFOOT SILVA
#2 round Ovreem landed 15 shots on the ground to BIGFOOT SILVA
So he dominated 2 rounds without beeing touched and he like a played with bigfoot!
and in the round #3 he runned to BIGFOOT without respect so he even wasnt protecting himself,he was very confident...and BIGFOOT landed some upercuts and then landed another 5-6 shots and man UBEREEM was dancing like he was electroshocked hahahah
Antonio "Big Foot" Silva patiently fought Alistair Overeem at UFC 156, and then pulled off the biggest upset of the young year with a knockout win in the third round. The first round was more clinch-filled than expected, but Overeem definitely got his licks in. He used leg kicks and punches as well as fantastic movement to hold off Silva. Overeem also landed 13 body shots in the first round.
Overeem went a different route in the second round, taking down Silva early in the round. After Overeem controlled and beat up Silva for much of the round, they were stood up and they finally started throwing at each other. Both fighters got in knees and punches until they were stopped by the round ending. As they headed to their separate corners, Overeem threw a look at Silva that seemed to say, "Bring it."
Silva complied. In the third round, Silva became aggressive and Overeem stood right in front of him. "Big Foot" landed a bevy of punches that first wobbled Overeem, and then sent him to the ground. Silva had to be pulled back by referee Herb Dean. The fight was stopped 25 seconds into the final round.
“After I knocked him out I was yelling at him ‘Let’s go! I want more… come fight!" Silva said through a translator after the bout.

BIGFOOT is 290 he can handle a lot of shots...when you are that big you can handle very well the punches (if you are training that kind of sport when you got punched every day)

Silva has put the entire heavyweight decision in Chaos. The arrogant Reem has been knocked out for the first time nice 2007. I think Bigfoot still might not be the contender, as he has just been owned by Velasquez in Ufc 146!!

Judges didn't give Edgar the props he deserved. won 4-5 100% and 3rd was close.

Overeem is a much better fighter than Big Foot.
If he were to take his matches seriously, he would beat Big Foot 10 out of 10 times.
He allowed his ego to get in his way, kept his guard down and didn't walk, but instead ran into Big Foot's fists.
No matter who you are, a solid punch to the face can fuck your world upside down.
He needs to regroup, realize that he is now a laughing stock and get back into the gym and train like a madman. His next fight needs to be devastating. He needs to not only defeat his opponent, but make a statement that clearly shows that Big Foot got lucky and hopefully get a rematch.

I think people are forgetting the overeem that existed before his transformation. He was a decent fighter but nothing spectacular. We saw that guy again on Saturday.

I think besides the knockout, what I liked most about the Silva/Overeem fight was Alistair's entrance song and how he coordinated his walk-in to match the pace of the song.

I believe Silva knows his limits and understands that while he can't beat Cain Velasquez (at the moment), he can hang with anybody in that division and, if underestimated, can even pull out a major upset against some of the bigger names.
Overeem will be back. The guy is a talented fighter (K1, Strikeforce and Dream champion). He has all the tools, but his arrogance will get in the way and cause him to sacrifice what's important in order to win a fight (cardio, stamina, proper respect for your opponent).

You forgot PEDs he was taking when he beat Lesnar. He's my favorite MMA fighter but it is what it is. When he's all jacked up he's unstoppable. At lower weights as see throughout his career he's easier to beat.
I am a huge supporter of lifting the ban off of controlled substances when it comes to ALL sports.
While I appreciate the hard work and training that it takes to become the elite of the sport, I do think that for the entertainment value of it all, it wouldn't hurt if they all had every possible advantage when stepping into the octagon. For instance, some guys like Jon Jones genetically have gifts (longer reach, height etc) that other guys don't have in his weight class, which makes him difficult to beat.
I say let them all use PED, that way we will get the most exciting fights possible. A great example of this is Wanderlei Silva. During his prime (PRIDE days), he was juiced to the gills and was probably one of the top 3 most exciting fighters of that era. Suddenly, he comes off the steroids and he looks like a wounded puppy in most of his fights.

I think Silva would give anyone trouble on the mat with his solid JiuJitsu. What I worry about is Silva's ability to match Cain's striking, which is in a league of it's own.
This is why Overeem would be a good match for Cain. IMO those two would go blow for blow and Cain would take it, because sooner or later he would break through Overeem's defense and his chin would be exposed. The flip side is that if Overeem delivers K1-level kicks and strikes, he could also knock Cain out.
Unfortunately for Overeem, I think he would have to beat 2-3 solid guys to get back in line for a fight with Cain. Dana White won't get a hard on for him again unless he pulls some seriously decisive wins.
If I had to determine what 3 guys he would face, before he is allowed to fight Cain, I would match him in order against Barnett, Cormier and then Junior Dos Santos.
