To be fair, the Republicans had no desire to get rid of Insurance Companies and Obamacare is the EXACT SAME Republican plan that Bob Dole proposed and similar to what Mitt Romney signed into law on a State level.

All of it is bad, Really bad.

I know, but they are really to blame here as well since they wanted to cater to Insurance companies just as much as the Democrats did.  The whole thing is a debacle.
