Misty Nicole Vanhorn: Oklahoma mom accused of offering to sell 2 children for boyfriend's bail
(KFOR) A Sallisaw, Oklahoma woman was taken to Sequoyah County jail for trying to sell her children to a woman in Fort Smith, Arkansas Wednesday.
Misty Nicole Vanhorn, 22, was selling her children, a 2-year-old and 10-month old, for $1,000 each or both for $4,000.
Officials say it is possible that she needed bond money to get her boyfriend out of jail.
According to the police report, Vanhorn had used Facebook to contact a woman in Fort Smith.
Vanhorn had messaged the woman, "Just come to Sallisaw, it's only 30 minutes away and I'll give you all of her stuff and let y'all have her forever for $1,000."
Her children were taken into state custody.

A mother has been charged with selling her 18-month-old daughter to a man who used her to make child pornography.
Natisha Hillard sold the child to 39-year-old Christopher Bour for an undisclosed amount of money, according to court documents.
The 24 year old is alleged to have known that her daughter would be used in child porn films.
The FBI began investigating Bour after being alerted by a unnamed masseuse who said Bour had texted her about his intentions to sexually abuse the child.
Two of Bour's messages read: 'U wanna watch me play with a baby tomorrow a real one' while another said: 'I get a chance once in a while I was just seeing if you would hold the camera.'
The woman told FBI agents she had seen child porn movies on Bour's laptop during previous visits to houses he lived in while renovating them.
He also said he had expressed interest in 'animal love.'
An FBI agent assumed the identity of the masseuse and texted Bour about what he planned to do with the infant according to NBC News.
Bour responded with graphic descriptions, said he had done it before and that the mother approved.
FBI agents raided Bour's home in Hammond, Indiana, and seized his computer.
They also found videos and photographs of people engaging in sex acts with pre-pubescent children, including images of Bour and young children.
Hillard could also be seen in some of the photographs.
Court records show she Bour through an internet dating service, according to the court records.
She was charged with selling the girl to Bour with knowledge she 'would be portrayed in a visual depiction assisting another person to engage in sexually explicit conduct.'
Bour is charged with production of child pornography, purchasing a child for production of child pornography and possession of child pornography.

As warped as it is, I'd say her offer of 1K for one, 4K for two, showed some attachment to the kids.
But, yeah, we need to have a standing financial incentive to avoid a reckless production of children. It would take people like this out of the mix, very quickly.

Misty VanHorn was arrested for allegedly trying to sell her two small children to a woman in Fort Smith, Ark.
An Oklahoma mom tried to sell her two children for $4,000 so she could pay her boyfriend's bail, police have said. Misty VanHorn, 22, is accused of offering up her babies — one who is 2 years old and the other just 10 months — via Facebook.The mom of two allegedly contacted a woman in Fort Smith, Ark., through the social network site. Her oldest child was worth $1,000, or the "customer" could have both children for $4,000. The woman, concerned about the safety of the youngsters, contacted Oklahoma Department of Human Services, who in turn notified Sallisaw Police. VanHorn was arrested on suspicion of trafficking children and is now being held in Sequoyah County Jail on $40,000 bond. The state has taken custody of the children.
